Developer Feedback Questions
It is the first game I made, and I used it to participate in the first game jam of my life two months ago. The current version has made a lot of improvements and new features, hope you will like and enjoy it. Any suggestions and feedback are welcome.

  • Overall: Very cool!!
  • Fun: It was a fun bullethellish game with smooth controls!
  • Visuals (Graphics): The simple shapes graphics pop/look great. It is also very clear and easy to see every thing.  A VERY subtle bloom effect might look cool too, would give it a neon feel.
  • User Interface: Very clear and good! A tutorial stage introducing the enemies might be better than the info dump tutorial pages hehe. (it is understandable in an early build heh, my game does it too)
  • Audio: Very good! It was a bit loud in my headphones, but that will be solved once there is a volume slider. Perhaps some echoing to the sounds might fit the black void backdrop.

Awesome work and keep it up! Please check out my game when you can :D

This looks really clean and was pretty unique type of game! Nice work. Also really cool that y'all use the Bevy Engine. I was considering checking it out myself at some point for 3D :D. Down below are some general comments and some feedback.

General

  • Least on web build for Firefox for Linux my audio starts spitting and made popping noises. Not sure if this is resolvable on your end, but just wanted to let you know just in case.
  • Web build was also not playable on Firefox for me either as everything was really laggy. Potentially might be because of too many tabs open, but other games worked fine with same current tabs however.
  • Linux build works just great though, and was a very smooth experience!
  • Potentially move the back button and start somewhere a little more easier to see. On my monitor at least they are really out of the way and I did not see them right away. Attached a screen screen on the page in question!

This is cool! I had a lot of fun playing, the controls are very smooth and I like the visual style.

While I was playing I was always tempted to run into the red objects thinking they would be a power up, even thought it's read it just looks similar to the other objects you're supposed to collect.

I would love to hear a few more random options for the sound effect that happens when you collect an object! I like when picking things up in successions generates a little melody.

Over all I liked this a lot, great job!

UPDATE: v3.3.2. The C/H chain animation is done, and the effect is better than expected. The gamepad control is supported as well.
