Developer Feedback Questions
This is a prototype where we're experimenting with movement mechanics, aesthetics, and level design. We'll pull ideas from this project to build a more complete version of the game with multiple planets and storylines.
So, feedback on the core feel/look/mechanics of the game would be much appreciated.

  • Overall: The game was really neat and I like the vibe~ Splitting the character is a cool mechanic!
  • Fun: It was fun exploring the world and figuring out the puzzles using the 2 characters.
  • Visuals (Graphics):  Awesome pixel art! Adding some simple parallax background/foreground layers would really add some depth.  Would be cool if the collecting plant had a glow or some particles to help it pop~
  • User Interface: The opening scene is awesome!
  • Audio: Great start! I really like the jump ring sound.

Love the idea and keep it up! Please check out my game when you can :D

Great work on the entry! The atmosphere was really cool and the art was also nice as well. As for some feedback I am not the biggest platformer or puzzle player out there, but tried my best to give some!

General / Gameplay

  • Personally I felt that the player controller feels a bit too slippery. I felt kind of weird sliding around a bit. Maybe some more friction would be nice.
  • I think I managed to accidentally do a small softlock on myself day 1. Not sure if I was able to get out of this situation. Little fella was not able to slide out of this.
  • I had a bit of a hard time keeping track of what plants I found. Maybe some UI would be nice. Since your game is pretty atmospheric maybe something diegetic would be potentially pretty cool :)

I really like the atmosphere of the whole game, the character and its little company are so cute. The action design is also very smooth and adorable.

In fact, I’m not very good at platforming games, playing with a keyboard makes my fingers knotted. It would be nice if I could use the gamepad to play (The movement seems to work, but other keys are not).
