Really interesting game! It got me engaged in the story and the search mechanic is great.

I have to confess that I got stuck and only after @Itizso  's  comment I understand why. I agree that you should try to find a way to integrate those txt notes into the game.

Adding background music would help to set the mood aswell.

Otherwise, really interesting game. I'll keep checking back on the progress!

Thank you for your feedback!

The game's itch.io page does tell the player about the notes attached, but since some people download it from here without opening the page, I added a "Help" button in the game that tells the player about the notes. (also as I said before the notes are out side of the game exe as a challenge from the first jam)

I do want to add background music but I'm can't make music (try my other games if you want to see me attempt to, and fail horribly) and I don't have any friends that do, so I left it empty.

P.S: I feel it is complete. I might come back to fix bugs or add music if I meet someone, but other than that I don't think I will continue working on the game.

As an alternative to making music yourself, I can recommend https://opengameart.org/ . It's definitely not super professional work, but there is great art and game music/sound effects there you can use for free!

Nice job on this game. It's not really my type of game but I can appreciate the effort you've put into it. So well done.

A few things I picked up:

On some screens the text doesn't wrap, like on this one:

Also you can type  past the end of the textbox on the doodle search page (if you put in really long words).  Not really serious,  but maybe you can limit how many characters the player can enter.

Finally, maybe you can find a way to integrate the 'txt Notes' directly into the game somehow. It took me some time to figure out there was information I needed outside of the game executable.

Overall though, nice work.

Thank you for your feedback!

I will fix the bugs, as for the search textbox there isn't anything you need to search that is longer than the text box itself so I did not think about that.

Finally, the notes are outside the game file because one of the challenges in the games original jam was to have a part of the game outside executable itself. but you are right, I should have added a small piece of text to say so in the game.

EDIT: Ok the bugs are fixed :) Log
