The game is really really good, and it's impressive you managed to pull that off for the jam ! The OST and sound design is very charming. The graphs are more than enough. The AI behind the hero is very impressive. I have more problems with the momentum of the character, I fell way to many times in spikes due to it. And I always had to restart from the begining (I didn't found any checkpoint). I preferred to stop when I died after the second part in the factory, trying to save my brothers. So it only lacks checkpoints so that everyone can appreciate your game (and maybe rework the momentum of the character).
I enjoyed the gameplay even if it's a bit too difficult. The art style is pretty simple but for a game jam it fits simply good. Great job!
I really did not want to make an uninformed rating... But sadly this game was pretty difficult for a non-hardcore gamer like me... I loved all the mechanics and the omnigun, but all the frustration of having to do all that all over again when dying to the slighest thing was frustrating, I only managed to get to the part where i get a top hat and the omni-gun..
Nice game, good idea it's funny and intersting!
Cool game ! You have wery well implemented the retro aspect and it realy fits the game that you made ! Congratulations !
Very well finished game with and incredible 80's feeling, where you try and death, feel the pain to find the way for the next step! Great if you like it!
Thanks for playing!
It's a nice touch that you can use the gun to somewhat hover in the air.
I don't know where to go after I killed the hero. I went in the door but as far as I can see there is nothing there.
The high point where you collected the gun can be used to reach the ledge to your right where you met the blue slime.
The concept is cool but the execution ends up being more frustrating than fun.
I understand WHY there is a long section before you aquire the Omnigun, so that you can subvert general dungeon crawler gameplay, but the slog to get back to the gun + the platforming not feeling tight enough + the Hero having too much health? It made me too frustrated to continue.
I hope you add some quality of life if you continue to support this game, cuz id love to beat it.
