well played to pit the tropes of moon cycles in games (astrology, fantasy) against a real biological event. i didn't see it coming at all, and i love your documentation showing evidence for the story you told. that's not usually important but when exploring the mysteries of reality usually having the facts straight helps, like here.

Thanks! I'm a biology nerd and really want to bring more of of my fascinations with nature into gaming and storytelling.

What a chilling and dark story! I immediately recognized it as a puzzle, but was unable to solve it without reading the description, very well done!

lol I thought the title was too big a hint. Glad I re-wrote the description then!
Thanks for checking it out!

i loved the build up to the twist--really fun idea that you executed well! there's a few points in the story where the game prints things you might not have meant? (i saw "0" and "false" but there may be more.) overall, it was fun and creative!

Yeah, there's definitely some janky bits that I have no idea how to fix. I think where ever I had conditionals it throws a value onto the screen and it's not something I figured out how to fix (hide) in time :(

when you're writing the conditionals, were you writing it as {var_name: do something} or as {var_name}?
in the first case, ink would print "do something" and in the second case, it would print the value of var_name.

if it's not that, i could take a look at your ink if you'd like? my discord is fine_and_dandy

I'll try to find you on discord, are you on the ravel server ? I use the same username on discord, just without the space.

Nice story! The ShutterStock watermarks were a little distracting, but I liked the causal cannibalism (lol) and the overarching naturalist theme of the ritual.

Thank you! I did not have time to make the art I wanted to make and I can't update until judging is over lol
The joys of a jam to make janky shit XD
