That's unfair and strange to announce theme and give developers make games before jam, that's makes no sense if there no modificator like limitation, that's announcing when jam starts or something like that
Apologies, we are new to game jams and did not know this! For future jams we won't allow game creation prior to the jam. Fortunately we didn't publish this Jam too far before the start of it, so there should't be a huge amount of people who started early.
