How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
You make Paperclips and the game is kind of an Incremental (It's more of a resource management simulation game like factorio, but still). Once it gets going and you build an efficient factory you'll be making a lot of money per second

Loved it! Really impressive game :D
I played this game in browser fully expecting a laggy mess but all i got was astonishment! It ran smoothly and i got to up to 50 clips per second with like 10 wire generators. this game got me good!!! I was also amazed at how all the clips were physic bodys, which was a huge source of fun.
And, however sublte it was, the little audio *blops* whenever you made a wire/clip were literally so satisfying they kept me going the whole time (or at least the over the 2 restarts because i ended up with less money than it took to create a wire x'3)
it has been said but i wanna emphasize again how good the achievements were to guide you along in the game

I'll try to fix the getting out of money thing lol, really glad you liked it! It's super nice to hear, thanks a lot for all the comments 😌
A fun and well-made game! The achievement track was a great way to teach me how to play the game while playing it, and guiding me to the next step. It took me quite a while to build up a lucrative factory, and some of it was frustrating because of how buckets work and how difficult it was to click on things on the ground. However , once I got into the flow of it and got my first belt, it was very satisfying.
Some suggestions to improve the game:
- More audio for UI things. I'd love to hear something as I switch between build menu and change/rotate tools, for faster learning and better feedback.
- Tune the beginning of the game a bit so you can get to an initial belt to selling machine? Could be a player problem but it felt like it took a really long time. I think if buckets were a bit less frustrating (as far as getting things in them and not falling out), it wouldn't be or feel as long.
- I had to zoom my browser in to read stuff--played fine once zoomed in. Is it possible to export a build of the game with larger dimensions?
Once again, I really enjoyed your game and think you did an excellent job making it. Hope it was a fun experience and you learned a lot!
Just updated the audio stuff and a couple more things! Thanks a lot for all the feedback, I greatly appreciate it
The beginning of the game is a lot hit or miss, so I'll probably try to balance it but it's not that easy to do as I'd like to have a small window of time were the buckets are the most relevant. Later in the game they can still be useful when expanding the machine's systems tho! I usually put them were I have leaks so they catch the clips falling until I can build a safer system for them
I exported the game on a higher resolution and think it should be better now. The downloadable version fits the screen on a 16/9 aspect ratio but I have some problems exporting WebGL builds
Really glad you liked it! It definitely was a fun experience and I had a great time making it and even more seeing all the different designs my friends came up with
This was a great time! I played for half an hour, got all the achievements, and got up to 30 clips per second. Definitely one of the best games in the jam that I've played so far!
