How did you implement the theme?
The game focuses on filling lanterns to keep the lights on. When all the lanterns go out, the game ends.

How did you add the special object?
The game takes place on a stage. As the lights dim, the curtains begin to close. They are a visual indicator of the players progress. They also hinder the player - the more they close, the harder it is to see the stage.

Fun game!! Love the sound work and the style of the environment. The gameplay is intuitive and was very easy to figure out what I had to do. At one point I had more wood than I knew what to do with but the lantern did not seem to open the curtains further than about halfway closed which was a little odd. I think the visuals could have been more thematically consistent. Other than the above minor mishaps I had a wonderful time playing, great work!

There are 5 lanterns.   Each has a different amount of effect over the currains.   When you start, they are all burning a little.  So to get the curtains all the way open, you have to seek out the other lanterns and fill them up too.

As for as for having too much wood....    I tried to balance it some, but withore time I think it could be made better.

Thank you so much for playing it, and for the feedback!
