Wow, thank you so much.  I'm so glad you're having fun playing it!

Luck.   Mostly luck.   I've tried this effect five times now, and this is the first time it worked.

It's a pretty fun game.  A lot more fun when i realized i could hold down the click to increase the jump.  flying through the sky, trying to climb the tallest buildings, these are the things I really enjoy in a game.  what was the countdown for?  i thought i had a time limit for each delivery, but it didn't restart.  nothing really seemed to happen?

My install is 1.17Gb.  it's open source, so you can get more packages (probably an infinite number), but out of the box it has an equivalent to all the photoshop addons. IMO, it's tiny.  and it works fast and well.

I did listen to it on youtube, and I liked it!   You did a great job!

That's a good idea!    I'll try to add that in the future.   I was kinda worried about that, and my make-shift solution was to put the first three near the start?   Hoping the pick-up noise and particle effect (on pickup) would show that to players.

Try downloading gimp.   It's like photoshop, but free/open source.    With a single button, you can offset the image, and blend it accross the edges, and it it makes it look flawless when tiled.

That was a lot of fun.  I wish that there as a jump back up in the room on the second level, instead of having to restart.  I jumped on purpose the first time, fell accidentally the second time, gave up the third time when i fell.  having to do the rest of the room to get back was....  to much for me?  but beautiful game, great sound, smooth action.  a lot of fun.

Awesome!!!!  that's a great score!  thank you so much for playing the game.  Merry Christmas to you too! (and merry boxing day, and merry all the other holidays!)

I couldn't beat the boss.   It would have been nice if i could pickup some healing or something? But the dodge/roll was a lot of fun, and the game felt very responsive.

Overall, great game.

I think there's also something about making the game?    After testing it and trying it a thousand times, i always go "this is too easy."....    Then i make it too hard for anyone else lol.

That was fun.  I wish there was either a more significant overall trend up, or that the up/down day to day changes lasted longer.  I wnded up just waiting and watching a lot.  Which is, like, super realistic....    Lol.

It's a nice, big world.   Fun to explore.  I wish there was some way to adjust my direction, just a little bit, after letting go of a tree.  It tok me forever to get out of the forst section.   But i had a blast playing it.  The audio was distorted, but i'm playing it on a phone (i son't know why, but i fond phones distort audio way more often).

What did you make the background in?

Man, I told myself "one more game before i go to bed"....  what a mistake that was.  here I am, an hour later, still playing!!!! /s.  God, that was fun. i don't know why i love this kind of game so much, but this scratched that itch so much.  lot's of fun.  I wish i had a health bar?  I had myself convinced that there was no actual health for my first ten minutes playing.  then i died.  that was sad.

That was fun.  I got my mace stuck and was running for my life for a while.  i wish i could shoot the candy canes from me, instead of the mace.  but otherwise, that was a great game.

great art, great story, great game.  I love seeing python in jams.  I started out in Pygame, and loved it.  so cool.

that was a fun game.  i think i optimized to just spamming the R/L clicks, and only really paying attention to jumping obstacles.  i got in front of the snow man by so far i had to stop and wait for him lol.  the boost from deflecting was a lot of fun.

Weird game.  i swear the controls changed through phases at random.  sometimes i'm flying, sometimes i use the cane to swing myself.  sometimes the arrows made me move.  it was so weird.  why is this so much fun?

Great game.  I got the top score on my first try - this reminds me so much of an old flash game, called jet slalom.  i loved the speeding up as it went.  very fun.

Honestly, I was inspired for my game by jet slalom.  i couldn't pull it off.  your game is a lot of what i wanted to make lol.  after the jam, can i ask you ho you did the leaderboard? i wanted that in my game but just couldn't figure it out.

😭 This jam is making me realize how bad i am at playing video games.  I couldn't even beat the tutorial level!  i really liked the bounce mechanic and no jumping thing, and the art was great.  it was fun to play, I just wish I wasn't so bad at this.

OMG.  this was sooooo much fun! i loved the music.  the distortion-y sound was just the kind of thing i love.  I also really liked the starry background.  very impressionist/surreal kinda art, which again i love.  i found one spot where i could see the tiling of the background (bottom right of the image, i think?) - but all the other sides were flawless! the gameplay was smooth and responsive, and the candy cane turn was hilariously fun.  great game.

loved the graphic, UI, and music.  The scrolling messages, and menu screen telling you the current song was genius.  i found the controls hard, and got frustrated missing the same jump over and over and over.  But that's my fault.

I think the resolution needed adjustment?  i think it was off screen for me?  the menu button was barely visible in the level.

I had fun with this.   sometimes it felt a bit tedious after getting the can at the end of a path?  but it was still fun and challenging.

I'm really glad you liked it!  I agree, there is some improvement to be made to the camera.   I couldn't quite figure it out in time, so i hoped it was "good enough" for the jam.  The level/direction/obstacles are all random, so it's impossible to predict what's coming.

I really wanted to get it to record the highscores between players.   I couldn't figure it out though.   It would be really cool if people posted theirs here, lol.

In the options menu, there is a volume slider for both the music, and the sound effects.   Accessable during play by hitting the escape key!

The transitions are a modification of a complex shader graph thingy.    Theres a link on the game page for Rigor mortise Tortise youtube tutorial of it.

I would certainly love that!    But i get it.   There is something great about games that you have to master to progress.   A lot of old school games were like that.

There's 2 main reasons.    First is ghost collisions - unity's collision detection system has a known issue with repeating track segments.   The workarounds that i found were too complicated to pull off for me, but i'm working on them.

The second is the ramps that can show up.   They look like the track, and spawn at random locations.   They can be hard to see, and throw you very far.   They can be frustrating, but hopefully also fun?

I tried to get the camera to turn towards the track some when you get thrown off....   It reaulted in the camera spinning wildly 😅.   But i'll definitely try to work that out in a future update!  I'm glad you liked it!

I'm glad you liked it!   I had someone playtest it, and while trying to figure out why it was happening, they insisted that it stay.   Happy accidents, and all that. I agree it makes it more fun!

Lots of fun.  the mechanics work great, exactly as i expect them to.  great job!

Great fun!  played it through a couple times.  loved the sounds and animations.  The timing on the games felt right, which is really hard with rhythm games.

Fun game!  loved the skip intro button (very under-rated feature).  I wish there was a checkpoint.  having to start all the way from the beginning is a little frustrating.  Unless, of course, that's the point.

Most fun game i've played so far.  feels like a complete game.

Same here!  i'm guessing it's the end of available levels?  still, there are a lot of levels.

Fun game!  good sound and visuals.  fun dialogue.  maybe consider a way to skip/speed up dialogue?

Love the look and feel of the environment.  I found it difficult to time the jumps/shooting.  But I loved that I could access the next levels to try them (even though i'm not great at playing games lol).

I think my only complaint is that I spawn facing sideways when the level starts.  minor complaint, but after restarting the level about a hundred times (seriously bad at playing games), it got annoying to have to turn to start the level.

Love the pinball theme.  it has a lot of potential.

I may just be bad at this, but every time out of the launch chute it went directly between the paddles.  Which, you know, felt very authentic.  I was never any good at real pinball either.
