I like the artwork! If you decide to update it further my feedback would be to make the attack feel better and give visual indicators for when the gingerbreads get damaged (like making them red for 1 second). Overall great game concept! I could see it going a long way on future iterations

The visuals are quite cute I love myself some good pixelart. c:  And i also think the gamplay has a good scope for a game jam and fits perfectly. I also like that the mechanic that you have to pick up a specific present takes out a little bit of pace.
One thing the game lacks is player feedback. I´m still not sure if I can damage the gingerbread man. A little ouch sound and some visuals would let the game feel so much more polished and responsive. Plus I think the movement has a math issue. Because only if I press nothing for a moment the player walks to the correct direction otherwise it walks diagonal even tho I´m only pressing one single key.

Seems like a very amateur game overall. Still was fun to play. Good job and keep it up.
