I really dont know the story behind this cursed santa but I love him xD
Anyways the game is really fun and easy to play, maybe it would be nice to just get a spacebar/mouseclick at the beginning so the player knows how to control the Santa. But this is a funny cute little game that works with the topic momentum very well c:
Maybe next time try to make it playable in the browser so it gets more attention c:

I think the game is very fun to play. It takes some time to figure out how to use the momentum but if you do its very enjoyable to zoom around. Also a nice touch that the music intensifies with the speed. I dont know if I missed it but I would like a way to "reel in" the cane to minimize the radius.
Overall great game feel very nice jam gam!
It´s quite short but I´m a big fan of the gameplay and feel. Its very fun to play the music is vibey and I´m actually sad that it is so short. :D I also like how you communicate the attack cooldown, its very minimal but still enough to understand.
As many others mention a HP bar would have been dope. c:
Oh and i just noticed the resolution is kinda fucked :D Maybe thats something to fix for the future (I actually hope you continue development a little I WANT TO PLAY MORE! c:)
Awesome game, I had a lot of fun playing it!
The only thing that is a bit tedious is how slow your HP/Stamina regenerates. Plus I sometimes had some minor bugs concerning the colliders of the icecubes and presents not disappearing after being destroyed.
But i´m a big fan of this game and it feels extremly polished. I like the Santa x Hacker story, the gameplay is very fun and the art is also very compelling. :3
I didnt expect this type of game at all and I absolutely LOVE it.
The only thing that bugs me is that the indicator when to hit is slightly off. It just feels like I have to press after it passes the indicator. Plus it was a bit confusing that the actions were not set to the actual rhythm but to do that and have a different pattern every round would obviously take a lot more than a week so this critic is more something in case you want to continue working on this in the future. :D
But I dont know this feels so polished and fun. So far my favourite! <3
Very cool idea, I like the spin of the weapon not flying around you but you having to control it with momentum.
Sadly it is a little buggy here and there. In some rounds my whole upgrade UI just disapeared and I had to play without upgrades and the Cane also got stuck a lot at places where I´m not sure that it was suppose to be stuck there. I would also agree to the person beneath me about from where to shoot.
But I like where this is going and I would try to fix these bugs and polish the game to have a cool project to show to friends and family. :3
This game was really fun to play. c:
One thing that I personally would change is the camera position. Because it gets quite fast pasted at some points and I feel like it should be way more zoomed out so the player can actually see what comes next and try to plan how to use their momentum.
But the game feels very polished and is very cute and enjoyable. Great job!
I love cats so you got me at the point I read "Catmas" xD
The game is fun I liked playing it. :3
But I think using the green cane could use a little bit of polishing because after jumping you get dragged down with such a force that it feels kinda awkward + the camera also might need some smoothing while jumping in general.
But like I said great game I enjoyed it! <3
This game is so cute!
Its kinda odd for me to use the canes with "C" but I really liked how you implemented the theme as well as the special object. Its a great little game with a few mechanics that bring a new spin and I could see this game have multiple levels in the futurue to draw more attention to the different challenge types
I also really like how you implemented the tutorial and I can imagine that in the future if you would split into multiple levels every tutorial-part would be at the beginning so there is no need to stop to read anything at all anymore.
Next time maybe try to make it playable in the browser it´s so sad that only a few people played your game I think its quite underrated. :3
I like the idea and the story is also funny. :D
The only thing that bothered me is that you have to replay the Levels because you need to fly so perfectly that if you didnt see where to go before you wouldnt be able to make it. maybe flying slower or having more space underneath you to spot the canes earlier would help.
But all in all this is a great Jam game, perfect scope and the coder art is very charming haha c:
The idea itself is quite cute. But sadly I had a few issue regarding the controls because I dont have arrow keys xD A and S works for walkinf but W doesnt for Jumping and it feels a bit off that I cant shoot while walking because walking is what I have to do to keep the momentum. I also didnt get how to pick up presents I just did sometimes on accident and I feel like i need to press something but I didnt know what.
I think you should try to make a build that´s playable in the browser next time, because without the bugs the idea is sweet and fun but people just tend to not download demos in game jams. c:
Sadly I got stuck quite a lot on the enemies because I cant jump afterI landed on them :D I also think you might want to tone down the amount of enemies because I got rolled over so much.
In general I really like the idea of this little beat them up. Maybe if you want to continue working on this with a little bit of story and sound this idea would feel like a round and fun game. c:
The visuals are quite cute I love myself some good pixelart. c: And i also think the gamplay has a good scope for a game jam and fits perfectly. I also like that the mechanic that you have to pick up a specific present takes out a little bit of pace.
One thing the game lacks is player feedback. I´m still not sure if I can damage the gingerbread man. A little ouch sound and some visuals would let the game feel so much more polished and responsive. Plus I think the movement has a math issue. Because only if I press nothing for a moment the player walks to the correct direction otherwise it walks diagonal even tho I´m only pressing one single key.
I like the player guidance a lot with the radio and the little woodthings. And the sounds also give the game a soothing and relaxing feeling even tho I´m not sure there should be human noises because there is no one to be seen. :D
But I dont know if its suppose to be like that but I didnt slide down or anything If I just stood in the middle of the mountain, no planks near and did nothing + I could just press down space and go up the mountain where ever I was.
Sadly I couldnt find which type of gifts I could interact with or how to interact. Maybe next time try to focus on a smaller idea and try to polish that instead of building such a big level because with a little player guidance and then maybe a goal to pick up 10 gifts as fast as possible you already have a working gameloop! :)
Btw you have to check a box on your audiosource for it to play in a loop otherwise it will just stop after being played once and background music should better be played without spacial audio.
But I hope you will continue working on the game, I´m interested where the gameplay is going to go. :3
Even tho I reeeeally suck at movement based games and I could barely make it up to any roof (xD) it is a cool idea to boost yourself around with the candy cane! Maybe if you want to keep on working on the game give the player the possibility to change the mousespeed. Because mine was way to high and I got a little motion sick, but to be fair I do get motion sick all the time so it might only be me again. :D
The music is a very fitting vibe for the gamefeel.
I would advise to make the game playable in the browser for your next jam, so that more people play it after you put all the work in. c:
The idea is really awesome, I love the riddles and the whole break the candy cane mechanic is very very cool!
The only thing I would advise is that the throw direction of the cane is more accurate to the actual crosshair, because like this it gets even harder to hit the elves without feeling intentional.
Damn this is so adorable I love it. I haven´t worked with Godot yet but you just did that as a beginner, it´s so amazing and im impressed. <3
Some feedback from my side would be that I would love to be able to identify e.g. which faceshape I currently picked. Plus my hair still falls under the category of being very underrepresented. :D
I have long Type 3 curls and you "only" included type 1, 2 and 4 hair. So I´m looking forward to finding my hairtype as well in the future. I´m looking forward to seeing this project evolve! :3
I think this would make a great browser or mobile game. It has quite some potential. I think you could definitely carve out the limited bullet mechanic more because it's very uncommon to have to use a knife that often in a zombie shooter game(I mean that in a positive way. I think emphasizing it more would make a great USP.) But all in all cute game I like the vibe. c:
