This works really well, and I had fun with it! It took me a while to find enough materials to trade for a weapon, the battle axe, and it was quite a slow weapon at that, so I'd appreciate a way to find enough materials near the beginning to at least have the option of trading for a faster weapon. All in all, pretty good game though! Combat felt fun, if a bit slow, and the world looked nice
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it :)
It's interesting to hear feedback about the items and combat, two things I've always struggled with so I'll definitely take those points into account in my future games, thanks again!
I felt like I was mostly just wandering around until a cutscene triggered and it was over. Things did pick up when I got a battle axe, but the gameplay was still pretty slow. I guess I just wanted to see more of this. The visuals were pretty nice though!
Yeah I also wanted to see more from this in all honestly. The game play was basically thrown together in the last 2 evenings of the jam, by the sounds of it people seemed to like everything else about the game though so I might try and polish it up after the voting ends! 🤔
Thanks for playing and for the feedback all the same!
Really cool game, really liked the visuals and the systems. Still need to fully complete it!
Thanks for playing it! 🤲
I like the visual style a lot! As well as the world you've built. I wasn't sure how to craft, so I mostly just explored.
I couldn't find any Kaiju (giant monsters) however!
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the bits you explored!
For the "crafting" you have to talk to the villagers behind market stalls, it's more of a trading system, I believe one of the NPCs should explain it, but honestly had some issues with them so there's a chance one of them just stopped talking for some reason :)
As for the Kaiju, it's the storyline of the game. Right at the end (when you go to the purple hole) there's a cutscene where the kaiju destroys the world you've been exploring, unfortunately it's nothing more than a cutscene and some references from the villagers in the game's current state, but it is there :D
Anyway, thanks for playing!
