It's crazy the level of polish in this game! I know it's mainly AI art, but it's all cohesive as well.
I also noticed the typo in the title like someone else metioned. Also, the image on the title screen was kind of blurry for me.
I didn't really understand the rules to this game, despite being a big card game fan. I couldn't place the cards where I wanted. I somehow figured out some cards can only be placed in the front row and some only in the back, but maybe a tutorial would be nice here.
In the future it would also be great if you could customize your deck, instead of only taking a finished one from a list.
Nice job getting this out on time, the level of polish is impressive! I'm not an expert on card games but I was able to pick this up and enjoy it - I especially like the magic effects animations when you play a card, there is a cool one with lightning that looks great, I enjoyed the choice of music too, unusual for a fantasy game but I liked it. I think you've got the start of something special here, if you could find a way to replace a few of the bigger AI assets with hand-drawn I could see it being a commercial release, you've done a great job! Best of luck with your gamedev :)
For a moment, I thought I downloaded the wrong game. It looks very polished and professional. I'm assuming you're on the advanced track.
I'm not familiarized with Deck building games, so I'll apologize in advance if my feedback makes little sense.
1. I wish the cards in my hand had more stats visible, not just HP.
2. The tooltip/dialog when hovering cards were very difficult to read. I have dyslexia and ADHD, so the font choice and the excessive amount of white space threw me off.
3. The cancel function is easy to miss. Frequently I played cards by mistake, because I just wanted to see potential damage.
Hey Angelis, well done on getting your 2nd game out. I really like the aesthetic and style and I'm a lover of card games. I actually had to check this wasn't already a game because I thought I had seen it before, but it turns out there are similarly named games but not quite this one.
I know you have already disclosed this, but to me at least, the use of AI is very obvious and became a bit of a turn off the more I played. I'm not saying AI is a bad thing, they are very useful tools, but personally it was too obvious when I noticed problems, such as the game title image being spelt incorrectly and inconsistent art styles.
When it came to the gameplay I found that I had no idea how to play, what actions were available to me each turn or how to meaningfully impact the gameplay. Cards appeared to have abilities to do damage but then did nothing and the game moved on so I was not able to figure out why and I ended up giving up.
I think you've got a good base for a game here with lots of potential but I think some more work is required to polish it.
Really well polished game. The artwork is great, good job.
Thank you for Your feedback. I appreciate it a lot.
WOW, this is very well polished! Just out of curiosity, was this entirely developed within the bootcamp's timeline? It's not a competition, so there are no rules against starting from an existing project, but I'm just trying to gauge how much was done during the bootcamp's period, because the level of audiovisual polish here is insane! Congrats! I couldn't fully understand the rules, but I think that would be easy to solve with a guided first match if you want to release a commercial version and put some more time into it. I would also suggest making the game-affecting aspects of the cards more visible (ex. properties), while making flavor text more obviously optional, just to facilitate the understanding of what's going on. Still, once again, congrats dude, this is really astonishing, and I would love to see this built into a full commercial release!
Hello and thank you for the time you spend to play my game and for your Kind Words. The idea and the story of the game were before the Bootcamp. So the BootCamp was the reason that made it happen. I designed all the graphics I made and the characters and I used a lot of A.I to do it. I work too much with A.I because it helps me to make my dreams come true. Also the music i made it with A.I. The Answer for the Question " How much was done during the Bootcamps Period" is that I had prepared for this game before the BootCamp (Story , Card Characters, Gampeplay) all these preparations in text were done before so i did the Graphics with A.I based on what i had write and the Music also was made with A.I. so I make all the Graphics and the Music in only1 Day because I new what I wanted. The Rest was easy. Yes I will make a lot of updates also I will make it to play online. The game play is very easy. First You choose which Deck you want and the main Cards are from this Deck. The rest are random from other Deck. Nect you choose the Difficulty. The game has 2 Rounds and you throw a card and the A.I throws a card. the Card with the bigger number Wins. Also some magic cards hit multiple to all cards. So they make multiple Damage. The Player that has the bigger experience points in the end of the 2 Rounds (that are the numbers in the left of the PlayGround) WIN the game. I will hear and follow your suggestions. Yes I want to make it Full Commercial Release. I don't know if I can make it happen.Thank you very much for Everything.
