I also included it in my article of favorites from this jam here!
Lovely graphics, nice game! I included it in my LibGDX Jam compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)
I'm sad I missed this game on our initial play through. This is a great achievement in the jam period. I really love the star map with all the tiny animations. Great job.
Congrats man. Couldn't have been closer, but you deserve it!
Thanks to everyone who played Project Magellan, voted for us, or left a comment! This was our first Game Jam and we convinced ourselves that we don't stand a chance against this fantastic competition. It really speaks for LibGDX and it's community, that there are so many quality entries on the first #libGDXJam.
Thank you all ❤
Very cool game- and really polished for game jam!
I've played all 81 other working games, and this is my pick for winner. It's complete, it has nice graphics, reasonably deep gameplay, a polished UI, and really is not too far from becoming a publishable game. Nice work, guys!
I didn't make it to the boss as it took me quite a while to realize I wasn't automatically colonizing the planets I was claiming. I might try again later with a fresh game.
Thanks for your nice comments everyone!! Did anybody get to the end boss? :D
Wow, for a game made in one month this is very polished and have quite a lot of contents.
This is fun to play!

Nice game, looks very complete and I like your art style!
Really fun! I could see myself paying few bucks for this with some extra polish!
@David Thanks! You are right about the FTL influence ;)
After some time enemies should start to attack you and your planets, there is even an end-boss to fight if you play long enough. But, you're right, some more urgency from the start wouldn't have hurt.
Tip: You start at the bottom left of the universe, the enemies homeworld is on the opposit corner.
Great! Feels like FTL, could do with an "urgency factor" though, like something that pursues you.
