Nice graphics, well made game! I included it in my LibGDX Jam compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :)
I really like the fuzz effect when you kill one of those bad holo guys. Good job!
Nice idea! I like the fighter game idea! Agree with some of the comments below, some aid kits would be great, and maybe jumping or kicking etc. and more variety in how the enemies come at you. I like the enemies animations with the electric border etc!
@CiderPunk :
blocks would have been nice, maybe in a future post Jam version. Also you are running out of Health, not Time. I started implementing randomly spawning Aid-kits to restore some health but couldn't make it on time. Would have been a big plus!
Think the combat needed to be a bit more nuanced, e.g. blocks or kicks or something, running out of time sucks, keep at it man!
I'm trying to create a strategy to prevent as much damage as possible and use the wheels in the right times (trying to cause damage in more than one enemy at a time, this happened a few times). Great game, the effect on the spaceship is pretty cool.
My score: 22, I think is possible to do 50+ playing a solid match.
pretty cool, i really like how you did the ship as well!
@miffy thanks. yes i wanted more than i could deliver. Since i am somewhat new to libgdx i underestimated the time i had to put into the project. I had to experiment a lot and had no real gameplay 2 days before deadline. But its ok i learned a lot :D
The way the spaceship tips is cool, it would be great if it affected the player. Running off the end of the ship is funny, judging by your twitter feed you wanted to do a lot more.
