32 points! Hell yea!
Game is lots of fun and I enjoyed the "twist".
One point I'd like to make about the gameplay, is that sometimes it was tough to scatter the bodies where I wanted them. I like the mechanic, but I'd work on it being more "predictable".
Also I need moar levels!
Thank you! I'll definitely consider polishing it up. The mechanic came about because I found killing the player and playing with the bodies so much fun.
This is a nicely scoped entry with puzzles that are "just challenging enough", levels that have a reasonable step-up in complexity & that wrapped up just around the point where I felt about ready to stop playing. :)
You've made good use of the limited colour palette to give the game a coherent look with effective use of the more vivid colour.
It's often challenging to create an engaging game when still learning the tool set, so you did very well to do so while learning both Godot & Linux--nice work.
Hope the lack of studying didn't have too much of a negative impact on your finals! :)
This reply makes me so happy! Thank you! This game is sort of a remake of a Scratch project I made in middle school where I was just playing around with a bloody platformer. I'm currently in love with Linux and I like how lightweight Godot is. The week was stressful but it appears I've passed all my classes.
nice graphics, simple but effective. I loved the music getting muted on special occasion :]
Thank you! My friend had the idea and I got it in last minute.
This game shows a talent for level design and being creative with very little! The mechanic of re-using dead bodies is ingenious - though it may have been done before. Even so, it's still very neat!
The music is good too. The volume could have been turned down and maybe use AudioStreamPlayer instead of AudioStreamPlayer2D. On the title screen I was thinking that you had made a mono track.
This was very enjoyable to play through! Keep it up!
If you would be so kind and have time, I would love it if you played my game, rated it and let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks!
Thank you so much. I just played and rated your game. This is my first time using Godot and did not know the difference between AudioStreamPlayers, so I appreciate the advice.
This was a neat concept.
The game had a good learning curve and sense of progression as new elements are introduced. I also appreciated the stark contrast offered by the red elements as well.
It would probably be better to link to the asset pack you used rather than a Google search for the asset pack you used ;)
It's always nice to see a game with a beginning, middle, and end, but we did try to encourage people to avoid missing out on sleep during the jam. Good luck with your finals!
Thank you for the kind words! I fixed the link to the asset pack. Currently anxiously awaiting my grade for my Calculus Final.
Fingers crossed!
Passed the class with a B. I'm happy
Congrats!
Wow ! Use dead body to open the traps ?
Very amazing and original gameplay.
I love it :)
Thank you so much!
good game! My GF likes the jump noise!
Thank you so much!
