I understand that you only managed to implement a small amount of what you had planned, but from what is here, it seems like you have a starting point that you can build from.

The art is charming and this is a good start for a game! I'd add some sound next. Maybe modify the acceleration so the player reaches max speed quicker and slows down quicker. Since this is a game about avoiding things, responsive controls will be a must.
