Hey!

I'm CarlYouKilledIt, an accomplished sound professional. I've worked with top-tier labels like Republic and Interscope, and now I'm thrilled to bring my passion for Music Production, Sound Design, and Audio-Visual projects to my first game jam.

In the dynamic world of game development, well-executed sound and music can transform a good game into an unforgettable experience. Drawing on my diverse experiences, I'm excited to leverage this potential to add depth and immersion to your project. Feel free to explore my portfolio at https://carlyoukilledit.com/my-work/

If you're looking to elevate your game's audio environment, I'm eager to embark on this new journey with you.

Best, CarlYouKilledIt

Hi and welcome! Are you a Linux-based composer? If so, what tools do you use? I'd love to hear about your workflows!

Thanks for the reply and for showing interest in my work. While I am not extensively familiar with Linux-based systems, I've been working with industry-standard software that's widely recognized across multiple platforms.

My toolset includes powerful applications such as Pro Tools for complex audio post-production, Adobe Audition for detailed sound editing, FL Studio for electronic music production, and Reaper for a more flexible DAW solution. Additionally, I'm becoming proficient with audio programming in Unreal Engine and Wwise.

Every project begins with an analysis of the goals and requirements, determining whether I need to create original sounds/music or utilize existing samples for example. This allows me to address unique project needs, whether it involves simple sound editing or complex audio programming.

While I'm always eager to learn and adapt to new tools and systems, my current setup with these applications has allowed me to deliver consistently high-quality audio work. If there are any specific questions you have about my process, or if your project requires a certain tool or workflow, I'd be more than happy to discuss further.

Looking forward to potentially working together.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm not hunting for collaborators (not even sure if I'm going to have time to make anything this year), but since the jam is primarily for Linux users, surfacing any Linux-relevant context for your work would likely help you attract others. In my experience, the insight that comes from understanding others' workflows makes it easier to relate to and work with them, particularly on tight-timeframe projects.

Best of luck!
