Is it ok to submit a project that accepts donations?

Hi, I've notice in other game jams that some people submits their game for free but enabled the option to accept donations so people who played and enjoyed could leave a tip if they wanted

Since I didn't read anything about this on the rules I was wondering:

Is it ok to have the "receive a donation" option in the game submitted to this jam or is it not allowed?

I'm afraid of disqualifying my game by accident if I submit a project that accepts donations...

Not that I believe that people would donate considering the symplicity of my game, but if anyone did like it and decided to give me a tip (like I saw happening to other people) it would mean a lot to me and help me a ton too

But I'm extremely afraid and would never want break the rules so I thought it would be better to ask first

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can enable donations.

Thank you so much! Good to know :)

one thing to note is that people who are entirely new to itch will probably think they have to pay to download the game if they dont peruse the page very well, its happened to me a couple times where i got money for my game jam games lol. just FYI :D

I never thought about it that way, very well noticed! I wouldn't like people to get confused so I'll try to make sure to explain somehow that it's not an obligation to donate or just leave my game without the option (if I even manage to finish it in time since I started to work on it a little too late haha)

Thank you for the information! It was a really good different pov to have in mind
