The controls are a bit tough to start with, and the difficulty curve seems a bit random.
Still, it's an excellent game with cool graphics, I loved all the little details (the "characters" faces, the main menu, and your itch.io page).
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the small details :) Yeah, the difficulty curve is quite rubbish. I will address that in a post-jam version.
Simple and clean game with nice aesthetic appeal. The idea is creative and challenging. Con is the sudden difficulty spike.
Thanks for the feedback :) I agree, the difficulty curve is broken. I'll address this in a post-jam version.
Really liked this one, although at least for me, the difficulty curve was perhaps a bit too challenging. Or maybe I expected something too easy from the cute outlook ;)
With sound effects etc this'd make a really nice small game.
And there I was, thinking that it was too easy... :D I will try to balance it better in the post-jam version.
Thank you for the feedback! :)
Well, it did get easier after playing for a while - I think something in the control scheme just threw me off! Might not make sense to change it - challenging gameplay might be better!
Fun game! I like the core mechanic, and the graphics are totally adorable. I often got caught off guard by the paddles switching colors, but I suppose I just need to "git gud". My only wish would be for there to be sound, mainly audio feedback for when something happens.
Thanks for the feedback! :)
Haha! In the beginning I was terrible at my own game, too, but you'll internalize the switching after a while - then it gets easier :)
I'm planning to add audio feedback in a post-jam version.
An inspired arcade game with a great feel and visual aesthetic. I could see myself playing this for quite a while. Shame there's no sound, though. Unless I'm missing something.
Thank you! :)
No, there's no sound, but I'm planning to add that in a post-jam version :)
You nailed that programmer art! And it feels so good to play this, it's a little repetitive, but I believe that's just a level design problem. Definetly needs sound! I hope you keep working on it
PS: +10 for putting extra work on your game page!
Thanks so much for the feedback! :)
Yes, I'm planning to fix the difficulty scaling, add some sounds, and more enemy types :)
Nice game, I like it!
When you die, you can still continue and will skip each level after 3-5 seconds. Bug?
Thanks :)
Whoops! Yeah that's definitely a bug. I'll have a look.
Edit: I'll fix this after the rating period ended, to keep it fair.
