Did you work in a team?
Alone. It was challenging, but I managed to make a playable version. Its lacking many features, but I'm happy with the results.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I think 64x64 resolution helps me to make art way faster, because the art is usually more simple.

What did you learn?
This is my first game jam, and so I learned to make a game in couple days. Everything doesn't go according to the plan, so making a game takes lots of time and shouldn't be underestimated. But overall, I had fun. I think game jams are also good way to test your game idea.

This was very neat! I love the walk-into type of attack, i think that was done well here!

Thank you!

Very neat game, I'm glad that you'll keep working on it. The procedural levels work well, and I like the feeling of progression you get by always going in the same direction. Graphics are great at this low scale as well!

Thank you for the kind words!

Nice game! I like this sort of game and thought the art was very cool. Music is good. Would love to see more of this! Enemies were too easy to beat/avoid though - harder enemies, some more variation and maybe traps as well as monster would be very cool to see! You have the beginning of a nice puzzle game here!

Developer

Thank you! I wish I had more time to add more enemies and items as well. But I do have some  plans for this game, so we'll see what happens ;)

The game is really cute and intuitive, I like the music and it feels natural with the resolution. I know there are many games with similar mechanics and theme but is there  a spesific inspirtation for it?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!  Inspiration comes from games like  Tower Fortress and   Cadence of Hyrule.

Interesting you mention Tower Fortressbecause your game made me think of Redungeon, another game published by Nitrome.

Developer(+1)

That's actually where I took inspiration from art-wise :D

Cute game. The mechanics were fun. The flooding water was a nice touch. The sounds and music fit in really well. My only complaint is that it was really easy. I was able to pretty much travel in a straight line and still was able to afford everything in the shop.

Thanks for the feedback!

Very cool. Played on linux using wine. Game closes abruptly after dying, could be an emulation issue?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing the game!

Game closes after game over / winning the game intentionally.     I ran out of time so I had to leave it like that. Sorry for that!
