Yea this was good fun, made a bit of a cursed game
Was the resolution a challenge?
Yep, but not really for 3D, since in unity you can just render to a limited res texture and scale that up to screen size
What did you learn?
That instantiating 50,000 trees at once is indeed detrimental to Unity load times.

Made me long for the old Playstation Twisted Metal games. Fun and challenging. My main critique would be that while you did seem to keep to the 64x64 for most of the actual race assets, your overlay (speed gauge) is clearly not keeping to the 64x64 limit. But that's such a minor detail in an otherwise great entry.
Nice implementation of a super-mario kart style game, though I didn't manage to get any of the weapons/bonuses. I've noticed that some of the art assets, were imported with a filter as they are blurry instead of being pixelated. Anyway great job in getting a game like this delivered in such a small space and short time.
You did a great job by putting all this cars and graphics in such a small canvas! I also noticed the "Audio Jungle" voiceline XD
I love the wild physics, it's truly a violent, insane race. fun stuff (I died btw)
