Man, you totally killed it with the sound effects/music. I love it so much. Wish the hp bug for the little guys didn't sneak it's way in, would have been a lot more fun if they died at a reasonable rate.

Really neat game, love the grow/shrink mechanic. Also great music and sounds to complement the Kenney graphic assets you used.

Thanks! I'm sorry that the input didn't work for you, would love to know a little bit more about your setup (OS, Browser, etc...) so I can try to fix it after the jam.

Ridiculously satisfying gun noise/animation... the rest of the game is also great. Very well done!

Tell your dog I said "Hi!"

Very fun and unique idea! I didn't see the note about "Entry #3" so I went looking for like ARG clues in the actual submissions because one of the helpful narrations. Then I noticed the number of submissions had dropped, so maybe Kenney has removed some people who didn't use their assets or something, and I was freaking out that I wouldn't be able to find the right comment to get the clue. :D

Really fun and cute game, love the cartoon-y squeeze/stretch when you start moving the ship.

I was initially confused about not getting fuel for picking up the candies, had to re-read the intro after I restarted the game to figure it out.

Other than that, really fun and solid exploration game. Well done!

I really liked how big you made the level, actually had to explore a bit, and was nice seeing things I'd be able to do later as the archer so I could plan his trip.

I also ran into the issue of the wizard throwing potions after he had died, and also ran into my own arrow a few times (though I don't think that damaged me).

Good work!

Fun space trader and exploration game. As other have said, having a map of what you've discovered already could be helpful (potentially with their has/wants and current status). I'd also recommend maybe putting some kind of repeating starfield or something in the background and also mark the ends of the map (if there is one)... I held the controls down for a long time in one direction and wasn't sure if I was flying further away or just bumping up against the edge of the map.

Did anyone else want to go back and play The Witness after this? :D

Really well done, even the 3d platforming bits were easy to navigate... something others have had trouble getting right. Also loved the jumping guy at the end.

Really nice game, I especially enjoyed the spooky sound effect.

Controls and everything felt pretty intuitive and the layout of the graveyard was interesting enough to not become overly repetitive while searching around for the items.

The only issue I had was with using the shovel, the hint bubble thing was above a cat/rat and I kept trying to run into it at different angles and hitting space and clicking on it with the mouse, I eventually just started bumping into everything in that area and found where I was actually supposed to use the shovel. Not a deal breaker, but could be a little more clear there.

Anyways, really great entry, especially for what seems to be a first jam completion.

Really nice game, and I liked that you had a bit of story in it.

A couple of things that might be nice to have if you continue working on the game, it would be nice to have some player acceleration instead of just moving at the constant speed (not as fast as the speed boost thing, but just a bit faster so from a stop their movement speeds up) and maybe also have the enemies have some sort of radius around them so you need to get close to them before they start heading towards you. Once I realized they just all walk at you, I found it was pretty easy to beat levels just by staying around where I started and kill them as they come to me, kiting them along when I need to.

Unfortunately the controls are very hard, having the direction you're looking be independent of the controls makes things very confusing and hard to adapt to. As others have said, it seems like the controls are also reversed, where hitting left moves you to the right or hitting forward moves you back from the starting position.

I wish I'd have been able to get further, to seem more of the nice level you built.

Neat concept, and I liked the simplicity of it, but I also ran into similar issues as others. I'd get munity on the 1st/2nd day even when going to locations that increase food and morale and had positive luck. Also ran into a weird bug where my number of settles flipped to a negative number and it started adding food each day. :D

Very satisfying to play, I'm not sure why. I was dumb and didn't realize I could also move the boat with wasd until battle 71, but I still managed to win!

Thank goodness, I made it home!

Would have loved to have been able to just click on the adjacent tiles instead of clicking the buttons on the left, other than that, good work!

I made it to Mars... now what? :D

Good little game, some of the mechanics could use a little more work, but I like what you have so far. As others have said, aiming/bullet speed could use a little tweaking.

Neat idea. I also had trouble closing the popup and sometimes on level 1 it would get confused as to which direction I was trying and wouldn't allow any input, or I'd have to go up when I really wanted to go right.

Fun, but I also ran into the issue where obstacles didn't show up until after I ran past them. The only times I won was when the guy with the hat ran into enough stuff to die. :D

Really good with lots of polish, feels snappy and responsive. I got stuck where you get the minecart thing, couldn't get back out of that area. I thought maybe I needed to use the cart from the high point and jump to get back on the ledge, but no luck. :(

Ahh, thanks! I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Okie dokie, so yeah. I guess that's a bug, because I'd be able to walk through the door the first time, but not after I died and started over (unless I refreshed the browser). Maybe some bug in the logic that tracks if the level is done or not?

Super well done game, with crisp controls and challenging puzzles.

Only weird bit was the fade blue when I picked up the blue heart, thought it was a game over screen before I read the actual text.

I've played a handful of space games from this jam, and this is my favorite. It's very relaxing and the music is nice a chill, and I love the interaction of gravity from the planets. My current META is to not use fuel at the start, and let the nearest planet just pull me towards it.

Fun, but challenging. It says that you can turn stuff into the museum to get health back, but I'm not sure how to do that? Unless maybe the special weapons don't count as artifacts?

Nice, I liked zipping around at super fast speeds... slowing down/stopping was harder than I expected so I zipped along the ground super fast also :D

Really well done game, love the aesthetic (lighting/shader is very cool), and the sounds/music are a perfect fit.

As others have said, it didn't take long to memorize the maps.. but for a game jam game this is very impressive. I'd guess if you wanted to take this further you'd maybe make more base maps or work on a random map generator.

False advertising! This game world is anything by tiny.

It took me a bit to figure out how to change characters, I read the instructions to mean mouse wheel, up/down, e/f, etc... but that was just me being dumb. Once I realized the up/down arrow did nothing, I put my hand on the mouse and it was a fun platformer with neat mechanic.

Really good platforming, and chill music.

On the second level I picked up the two top runes, and turned them in, then I went to the bottom right rune and got it, then fell. When I respawned, the bottom right rune remained gone and the top right rune had reset. Didn't stop me from completing the level, but might be worth looking into if you plan to continue working on this game.

haha, I was confused by how similar this was to another game.. then I realized you did two games for this jam! Good work!

I unfortunately had some stuttering errors playing this in the browser, but it was fun to float around in space.

I liked the skiing more than the exploration/platformer. Made me think of the good old days paying SkiFree on my first computer.

For the exploration bit, I'd maybe flip the sprite when you change directions? Just felt kind stuff watching the dude move around.

For the skiing, maybe make it less random and use some code to help prevent impassable sections of trees/stumps. It's fine for it to be challenging, but on multiple occasions I ran into what was essentially a dead-end that I couldn't have gotten out of even if the yeti wasn't right on my heels.

Well put together game, controls feel nice and the sound/music add to the game.

I liked it, nice space exploration with simple fuel management. Music was great for a space game too, well done.

Nice gameplay, I agree with others that mining sound effects would really help the game out. Also, maybe like a "fog of war" to hide underground elements you haven't been directly next to yet? Would add to the exploration aspect of the game.

Really cool idea, I actually learned a lot too.. especially the belief that living at the end of the street was a bad thing re:ghosts. I'd never heard that before, and while I'm not one to believe in ghosts, that thought has a certain charm to it that I find endearing.

Fun game. I really appreciate the arrows pointing you to the artifacts, and I liked saying "It belongs in a museum!" every time I collected something. Would have been nice to have like a life bar or something other than the indicator smoke.

This is a totally reasonable number of planes to have in the air at one time..

I really like the look of the game, and the fish trap. Bummer that it's only one level, hope you keep at it and keep jammin'

Really cool idea, wish more of it would have been implemented... scope creep strikes again!

10/10 Would be murdered by a giant purple octopus again.

Bummer about the water shader not working on the web version. I also agree that maybe having the camera zoomed out a bit would have been nice.. also maybe slow down the turning or something, had I really been on a boat turning that fast, I'd be chumming the waters with my lunch. :D

You cat did a good job making this game.

I liked the "Help Wanted" sign flying in, and also the game was cute. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to take a picture of for my 3rd object though.. it looks blank, so I tried taking a picture of the ground, but no luck. Also when I walked into the second area through the door, I instantly died.. then I couldn't walk back into that area again without completely restarting the game. :(
