Did you work in a team?
I didn't end up working as a team. I signed up to one but due to other members' work commitments I ended up making my own game! It was very very fun to learn to code and apply it in such a short amount of time.

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution didn't present too many problems, but my initial character concepts had to become less detailed as they started as 32x32 which was far too much of the window. I returned to the drawing board and worked starting with smaller concepts and expanding them only if I had space, rather than trying to condense them down.

What did you learn?
I entered to make music, as it was my first jam and that's where all my skills lie. However after being encouraged to start my own project I learned a lot about coding that I hadn't considered. I kept detailed notes on all the mistakes I made and the fixes for them which I can refer back to. One thing I need to do is plan my time better, especially as I started my own project in the second week, and had to learn lua and how to use pancake in that time. In particular I need to allocate more time for making art assets, and use placeholders while I work on them rather than wasting time trying to make the art perfect before coding the game. I experimented with integrating fmod into love2d and then into pancake but I think that was overambitious given my inexperience with coding, and wasted a lot of time!

Super good on you on getting out there and turning in a jam game despite the fact your initial plans fell through!!

Very admirable, and I like the attitude that you took to show off the pieces you had already composed :)
