Did you work in a team?
Just me, though Music was premade. And yes I did enjoy the jam :)

Was the resolution a challenge?
Aside from animating and depicting certain details. Wasn't too much of an issue as I already do most of my stuff in 8*8. I did use subpixels though for coordinates, If that disqualifies me I understand.

What did you learn?
I mostly used this as a way to make myself try level design ( I tend to not work when it comes down to just making levels) so I learned a new way to make myself work on levels.

I really like this. It's a nice little platformer game! It has a good level design, lots of mechanics, great soud effects and music, and also very nice looking art. But I don't really see the point of being able to hop and jump though, I think it would be better to either have just jump or add double jump instead. just a thought. Also, some things like the falling blocks and the slight player squish effect kind ruin the illusion of the game being 64x64. But overall great game! Good Job.

This map is inconsistent. Idk if it's player speed or what, but sometimes, if you walk off the ledge, and continue holding the button, you bounce and make it to the platform and others you hit the spikey thorns. Doesn't make any sense.

The game doesn't adhere to the 64x64 rule. platforms fall smoothly, and the lives screen wiggle. you cant do that in 64x64, without breaking the rules. Sorry dude. if platforms fell one pixel at a time, things would be different. Also the character is way to slow. Otherwise, i liked the game. I did get stuck on this screen.

The spikes that appear with only an audio alert before-hand are a bad design choice, as they lack a visual indication. Cant imagine playing this game without sound.

I think the perfect way to describe this game is "one day short of perfection"

aka a really good game, just a few dials away from being great!

The visual style is so striking (perhaps one of my favorite visually in the jam), and the theme and game feel is all there. The platforming however, is just SLIGHTLY off. Its just a little too precise, making jumps a frustrating and turning it more into a rage platformer than the fun flowy platformer the art style and title suggest. Everything in this game has juice and feel, except the jumping itself, such a shame!

Nitpicks aside, you really did produce an awesome game. Just being in it feels great, and got me to keep playing until I died!

I made it to the room with all the flame dispensers, after the 1st health reset!
