I also included it in an article of my favorite games from this jam here.
Really lovely game! (I played the other version of it) I included it in my compilation video series of the Low Rez Jam games, if you would like to take a look :)
This is the version of game I intended to upload originally: https://otyugragames.itch.io/snake-pit-v110
(Since I did not modify this version of the game since the jam, you are welcome to rate this game based on the other version. This version of the game is a demo that was only meant for a friend to play test. Sorry for the confusion.)
Sound effects are nice. Jump controls are very inconvenient.
The jump is intentionally floaty because you have two ways to fall. If you hold the button, you fall fast. If you let go of the jump, Sikk struggles to stay in the air longer so that you can maneuver in a pinch. You can also wall jump. These are both meant to be things that would have been explained to you later in the game if it had more content.
The main character is a little bit floaty and it kinda made me uncomfortable, since it landed slowly and I felt like I need to jump because the snake will catch me.
Cool art style, I wish there was more levels with the same goals, maybe other enemy types and challenges.
Art style looks really great! Would love a Mac version :D
I didn't want to download any games, but that text bubble is too good!
