A Helpful Suggestion

I know the submissions for this jam are supposed to be 'low quality' (and probably 'low effort' too), but if you want more submissions for this game jam, developers need to have a better incentive that will make them choose to spend their time making games for your jam over the many other jams out there.

The easiest way to do that is probably to give the games made here (and the jam itself) more exposure. You can try to get a bunch of small youtubers to play the games that are submitted to this jam. You can post a link to their channels here, under the condition that they agree to upload a few videos about the games that were submitted to this jam and mention the jam in their video.

It can be beneficial for everyone involved: the youtubers get ideas for new content and some exposure from the jam itself, the jam gets traffic and exposure from the youtubers, and the game devs get traffic and exposure from both the youtubers and the jam.

Tbh I'm just gonna try my best of my abilities for this game jam cause I'm a perfectionist (Yeah, so most likely it's going to look decent and not low quality)

I agree with Raccoon. Seems like a good idea for a jam, but the jam page is so empty -- not even links to previous jams. It's unclear how this will be more fun than any other jam out there. Since historically there's been between 2-26 entries, it shouldn't be too many to get a someone to Let's-Play them all.

we do not talk about the previous jams.

Black & White Heavy Spray [Team Fortress 2] [Sprays]

Too late!

man this jam is just an excuse to make some goofy games its not anything serious lmao

I know, I just thought it could help you get more submissions that aren't clones or spam.

The goal doesn’t always have to be “get a lot of people to make games for a game jam”. It could just be host a game jam for silly goofy game developers to find and make silly goofy games. Being in a game jam is kind of like volunteer work, you usually don’t get much in return but people still do it for all their own reasons (though volunteers are on a much higher level than a game developer).

Well, yes, but in the jam's page it says something along the lines of "let's hope this one doesn't die like the recent ones", meaning that probably there weren't a lot of real submissions for them. Pretty sure it's also said directly by the host in one of the comments in the previous jams.

Either way getting a small channel to review the games submitted is not a bad idea imo, and it should help giving this jam the boost it needs.
