Damn this was loads of fun! I'm a sucker for GB games, and I loved all the presentation. It was a really nice fair take on the Foddian genre, and climbing the levels and falling back didn't even feel that annoying because it meant I could listen to that music for longer. Really good submission, good job!
The game was fun and controls are tight, just enough mass to the character that the platforming is challenging given the relatively simple obstacles, but still doable. The GB authenticity adds charm. Cool! It took me a second to understand the foddian nature until reaching the second floor lol.
yea my idea was to treat the first floor like the opening area of a game like pogo stuck where your initial setbacks are only really having to redo your current obstacle before quickly turning into potentially brutal losses of progress. The first floor is basically the tutorial.
Thanks for the kind words!
Super cool submission, loved the style and UI here. Music was brilliant!
Enjoyed playing through this! Well done c:
this is so cool, game boy aesthetic is awesome, and love the compressed chiptune music. Fun to play too :D
it is beyond just a gameboy aesthetic, this is an ACTUAL gameboy game. You can dump this to a flash cart and run it on real hardware.
The music is being produced by the gameboy/emulator its running in.
Thank you for the kind words :)
Interesting game. COuldnt make it past the first set of spikes :'( great music though!
yea that jump is tricky, you need a running start and jump within a few pixels of the edge of the spikes.
Thanks for playing!
