Learned a bunch of commands - I couldn't figure out the command to check energy levels, but maybe there intentionally isnt one? :)
My people kept dying, lol. But this is a great game idea. One of my initial thoughts for 'Hack the Planet' was something very similar. Give user a terminal and let them discover hacks to use, but my thinking was more on the surface of the planet instead of the solar system.
Had fun trying to keep people alive and playing around with the different commands I figured out. Using 'help' was cool that you had to keep sending it and it gave some snark back lol. And from that you could decipher some commands here and there.
Thanks for playing! It is possible to see energy, as well some other info. Admittedly the commands are kinda inconsistent in general, and missing some pretty standard things, but it was my first time ever using input fields and parsing text, and I could've spent more time on fleshing it out. There are a handful of easter eggs, though! Gets interesting when you piss off the computer...
This is a well made game. Once you figure out the commands then you can mess around to find out lot of things. My advice would be to give some help or tips in finding out the commands or give a menu that shows the commands. Advice for others it is ok if the little twerps are gone if the computer is running then it is all fine. Overall a well made game with good visuals especially like the musics in the game. Best of luck.
Thanks for playing! Yeah I didn't want to drop all the commands right off the bat (gotta "hack the planet"), but once you figure out how to get hints, you can glean enough info to poke around, and then start having fun with the physics. Also, the real challenge is to do it all while keeping the population from being wiped out... Glad you enjoyed it!
