haha. Ok totally going back for more :)

ooo good idea, yeah that would do it, easy to code too

Learned a bunch of commands - I couldn't figure out the command to check energy levels, but maybe there intentionally isnt one? :)

My people kept dying, lol. But this is a great game idea. One of my initial thoughts for 'Hack the Planet' was something very similar. Give user a terminal and let them discover hacks to use, but my thinking was more on the surface of the planet instead of the solar system.

Had fun trying to keep people alive and playing around with the different commands I figured out. Using 'help' was cool that you had to keep sending it and it gave some snark back lol. And from that you could decipher some commands here and there.

Thank you! Yeah I winged a lot of the values as far as spawn rate, damage, etc and it seemed to work out ok :)

Hm. Yeah as far as the input, it takes whatever was last used, so the slightest mouse movement will send the ship flying towards cursor position. I could probably add a bit of a threshold to that. Also should probably add keys to do hack purchases w/ keyboard over mouse, so no mouse required at all, etc.

Thanks! I'm thinking of doing a follow up release, had a blast working on this.

Fun game, mechanics are nice and polished. I liked the particles from the laser, nice twist on an old classic fav of mine.

Very cool game! The hacking mechanic is neat. My hand got tired of pressing spacebar so had to stop playing. Would've liked to be able to hold spacebar down lol.

Almost beat it, although I think I hit the planet with about 20 hack attacks before I got blown up, and I must've put about 200 bullets into the little shield thing in front of it so I guess that is indestructable, not sure.

The art was awesome. It has a certain style to it that is really cool and different. Was hoping there would be a few more puzzles to either fix the ship up or do something else in order to hack planet + escape, but you definitely have something here.

Thank you!

Yeah the input system was supposed to be intuitive and just take on whichever the player felt naturally to use. Didn't account for jittery mice ;p

Boundary also a thing I had on my backlog but just ran out of time and didn't feel like it was absolutely necessary.

I played your game as well the other day, very fun! We had a very similar approach to this jam. I plan to leave some more indepth feedback on your game page.

Cheers,

Rum

Thank you! and thanks for playing :)

I had so many ideas for this but could only fit in so much in time. Rogue-like stuff was definitely on my radar, but figuring that system out would've added a bunch of time for sure.

The homing missiles were completely unintentional, I missed that bug. But hey, free rogue-like bonus I guess ;)

I had a bunch of thoughts for difficulty, but also cut corners there for time. More boss attacks, altering the asteroid spawning algorithm a bit, etc.

Maybe I will go back and add more. Had a blast making it
