• You must follow Steam and Itch.io TOS.
• The mod must be made completely during the allotted time & be a new idea, reworks and reskins are NOT allowed
• You must credit everyone who contributed to your mod.
• No AI-Generated visuals, audio, or scripting/code.
• Avoid using content that you do not own the rights to use.
• Do not attempt to sabotage other teams
• Provide any disability warnings on your steam and/or itch page(epilepsy, loud sounds, etc)
• Develop the mod with the 1.9.20 patch of Your Only Move Is Hustle
• As a voter you are expected to put at least 30 minutes into rating each individual character.

Any submissions or voters breaking these rules can have their prizes and/or votes invalidated

Voting Criteria

Theme

How well the mod ties in the themes it decided to pursue, was it creative? Does the connection to the theme make sense to you? How well does it fit? Does it effect the visuals, gameplay, or moves in any meaningful way?

Moves & Mechanics

Does the character interact with all of the universal mechanics of the game competently? Does the character have good direction coverage? Can they actually participate in RPS, & Neutral? Is there a decision to be made when they enter neutral in range? Are the moves & extra mechanics creative and interesting? Do they have intricate properties and ideas that are new and creative?

Visuals

Does the character have icons that are visually distinct and help organize their moves? Does the character have coherent animations that look good both in motion and in stillness Are their hitboxes clear and does the art show them with clarity?

Aesthetic

How well do the mechanics, moves, & gameplay tie in with the idea of the character? Does it feel complete & flushed out? Do the art & moves make a cohesive picture of the character?

Gameplay

Do they feel new and novel, could you imagine genuinely discussing the character? How does it feel to play the character? How does it feel to play against the character, is it clear what to look out for and what to exploit? Do their moves scale well against other characters(Vanilla/10f baseline)?, Would you play them in a public lobby?

Q: "What if I want to work on my mod more after the Jam?"

You can upload new versions on a separate workshop page if we find you have updated your mod after the submission time is over your entry will be forfeit. 

Q: "Can I do both themes?"

Legal but hard to recommend. It will be a challenge. (edited)

Q: "How can I receive the cash prize?

We offer: Cash App, Paypal, Zelle, Steam Giftcard(s), A donation to a charity of your choice, Discord Nitro, & Discord Cosmetic(s). Though If you chose Nitro or Cosmetics tax will be included and we will not get you something over your prize amount.  

Q: "What needs to be on my submission page?"

Something that lets people access the version of the mod you made during the marmalade, this can be a zip file but it is recommended just to have a URL leading to the workshop page.

Q: "Can I submit a mod that is not a character?"

No, non-character mods will be removed from the jam during the voting period.

Q: "I'm having technical issues! Can I please have an extension?"

No, for the integrity of the jam and sake of fairness It is your responsibility to plan ahead and ensure you have submitted something you are happy with. You can upload imperfect versions during the submission time and update them during said submission time. But update it or submit anything after the deadline and your submission will be removed
