Wow, that was cool, and hard lol I failed at first. When the first game started, I missed a bunch of notes because i simple didn't noticed that the game was already on (I know, silly me). So maybe a call to action there at the start would be good.

The boss battle got me unprepared with all the notes and super speed lol (I kinda cheated though, spamming keys as there was no punishment for wrong notes)

Maybe add a small punishment for wrong notes would be cool too.

Oh, and the music was super loud, but you had volume controls! I think it is the only game in the jam with volume options, it is really useful.

This game is great XD
The difficulty adjustment between the 1st song and the 2nd is good too.
I also enjoyed both of the songs. XD
But, it's difficult to see which color gave the best in the gauge meter. Maybe you can add number like 300,200,50, etc. Using Perfect, Good, Bad, Miss also works. Using different color without telling which one is the best is kinda confusing for me. My guess is green is Perfect, Blue is Good, Red is Bad and Cross is Miss(?)

Interesting story and solid idea. The story was quirky and funny but there was a lot of it compared to the gameplay. For gameplay, rhythm games like this are great and the idea was solid but I think it needed to feel a bit more satisfying to play. It was hard to tell where to hit the notes and if you hit them at all. The story and writing is definetly a high point :D

As the one responsible for most of the story, thanks!

Hey,

I feel the idea behind the game is solid. There are however couple of things that I think could improve the experience:

1. The length of cutscenes is definitely too long in comparison to actual gameplay time. I spent probably 2 times more time on reading the dialogues than playing the game.

2. There is no clear indication "WHERE" is the sweet spot for pressing the button. I realized that it is close to the end of the screen just before the first song ended.

3. The level of the songs is a little bit "too hard" for a such a short game. I mean, I managed to pass the game but I completely did not get a feel of the songs - I felt more like I am bashing my keyboard. I think game with this type of mechanics would benefit from slower songs at the beginning.

4. The feedback of 'well pressed button' should be more visible. You can see good execution of feedback in games like OSO! or Saber Beats :)
