Why should a manifesto be necessarily written?

What a lovely idea for a game jam. But I regret that the jam's manifesto seems to draw some kind of natural link between manifesto-ing and writing. I hope everybody feels free to draft a manifesto in the form of a painting, drawing, song, theater play, yawning or farting, or, let's think wild! In the form of a videogame.

OR posting a video online. obviously.

The rules of the jam specify everything's allowed:

"Upload it as a text file, pdf, or any other format"

"Follow whatever form you feel gets across your manifesto in the most appropriate way (plain text? Carefully arranged? Written by hand? Recited? Playable? anything)"

It'd be cool to experiment with a different format.
