Really cool intro, illustration and visual. Like the concept and strategy mechanic. (after intro was super vibrant and upbeat - was surprised by the game sprites being more techie, they looked like they were from two different games). Both are great - maybe push more into one direction or the other. :) Oddly my secondary melee did no damage even when right next to and facing the enemy, I had three lined up, did nothing but the sound effect went. Sad as I totally had them out manoeuvred! By the time I switched back to long range I was a gonna. Some more effects would be great.
The start UI... was overwhelming. Wish the ui was as interesting as the sprites as a lot of the game revolved around using it. An awesome start. Would be interested in trying future builds! Audio was interesting, fun bleeps and bloops without being too overpowering meant could concentrate on my moves. Like the customisability and tactical gameplay!

Nice mech design! I always fall for the strategy games so I enjoyed this one

Fun concept -- I like isometric strategy games a lot, so I can see the potential this brings. The variation in weapons and enemy mech types was cool. I would have liked for the enemy to have a bit more planning besides just random moves (even a simple greedy AI that just tries to get close to the player to melee them). Maybe having two opponents could be interesting too. Oh, and fun intro art -- I liked the comic book style.

That was a ton of fun, I made it all the way to the end without dying once and managed to purchase all the equipment upgrades. I'm so glad you were able to get it fixed!

Pushed a second bugfix after submission. Sorry Luke! You can verify that only 5 total lines changed after submission: https://github.com/game-workers-cooperative/mechjam

I've always liked the idea of making a digital version of Roborally.  Nicely done!

We were talking about what we wanted to make and one us said, "Have you ever heard of Robo Rally?". Everyone said no, looked it up, and then we all said, "Yep. That's what we're making!"

Host

Ah I see I was wondering what that box was in the intro!

Developer(+1)

The good news is that Robo Rally was made by Richard Garfield before he went on to make MTG soooooo maybe that means we'll go on to make something amazing too!

Pushed one bugfix after submission. Luke said it was fine though!
