This is the best shark mech game that ever existed, if you think different, then dam you!
But sharky. Where IS george? You crime buster of the sea.
I give this a strong kipper out of cod.

I didn't know I needed an L.A. Noire + QWOP experience featuring a shark mech in my life. But now I want to see more :P

Definitely loved the humor, stompy controls, and citywide destruction. While the movement was a bit slow, I can see the potential in this movement style. I wasn't able to get up a lot of speed but I kept wanting to drift around corners.

Visually, the art direction is spot on. The combination of the ps1 filter + particle effects + distinctive character design really helps it to stand out.

I would have liked to see some audio effects (particularly when stomping around and blowing stuff up), but I realize there are time constraints in a jam.

I hope Detective S. Harkins lives on and has more stories to tell. Really fun application of the theme :)

wish the mouse would lock when playing and the movement were a bit more responsive. Other than that it looked great and was really funny. I love the detective tropes and using gameplay for laughs.

Like the the atmosphere (text, music and graphics), the movements of the Detective wasn't always responsive. Good Job

If you wanna try my game would be great.

Loved the graphics, writing and music. Only thing that was a bit awkward was the mouse, maybe add a fullscreen option :)

Bugs, or otherwise negative critique

The walking-towards-body segment at the beginning felt a bit wonky. Had to tap / hold A+D as W/S weren't doing much, and I got stuck near the body at the 'walk closer' prompt. Some letters were sticking, but that's not particularly bothersome. Game didn't lock mouse, which made panning quite annoying. S. Harkins' movement could certainly be a bit less sluggish, and it was sometimes not responsive.

the cool bit of the review

Graphics were great! The blocky, low-res filter combined with the somewhat-low-poly models gave it a PSX era feeling. The humor and wit is  very appreciated, as is Blue's Jersey accent. The concept, I imagine, would've had a great execution given more dev time (then again, that's the point of a jam). This is definitely a game I'd enjoy to see finished with more dev time behind it.
