This is my favourite. I gave you 5 for writing even though you misspelled inventory. Don't get rid of anything, just add more mission tables!

I "ran the simulation". Binky lost her heat ray on the way to the wreckage of the Mercator,  possibly during the accident that also cost her one health. On the flip-side, our engineer (with mind 1) was able to get some additional inventory training, thanks to a friendly traveller at a rest stop.

During the mission, the crew were set upon by Sacvengers - a deadly drone to be precise, which was able to wound our soldier, Morgan. He dealt with the threat but sustained further injury. Undetterred, they pressed on,only to encounter a further incident. While retrieving thedatacore, Syliva witnessed the unsettling spectacle of a floating corpse pointing eerily into the void.

Shaken, but not stirred, the crew made it back to the Победа, uploaded the datacore and received 70 credits as a reward.

They're eagerly awaiting their next mission!

"Inventery" is intentional: like "sneakery," it's a made-up word so that a character's invention skill would end in an "ery" like all the others. So glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Then I feel entirely justified for awarding you the highest mark! I should have picked up on that (especially with sneakery being in there, though in my defence a lot of these get written rather late at night).

I tried a run through with some of  my ESL students last night. The role playing only really comes out between missions, which is weird: if you do decide to have another go at it, it would be great if you worked more player agency into the missions. They loved the simple character builds and stocking up on supplies at space stations, so thanks for providing forty minutes of entertainment to my class!

" You can follow my slowly degrading mental state as I make this game. It gets gradually less coherent and more nonsensical."

I like you.

I love the sense of humor in this thing.

Gahhhhh there is so much here. Like great job... but wow. So here are a few thoughts I had while reading:

  • The illustrations are so derpy... they great.
  • I feel like the system could be less crunchy and accomplish the same thing. If you plan on editing, trim the fat.
  • The missions you included--GREAT! And actually a really nice way to set tone.
  • And I liked all the random tables. Well done!

Holy cow, there's a lot of content here. It's really impressive that you got this much out in just 48 hours. Did you sleep?

Some initial comments:

  • Your combat system just is in that annoying grey area between "streamlined and easy to run" and "crunchy and complex" where the rules are fairly simple but it's still complicated and annoying to play out an actual fight. If the game is about the people managing the missions, it would make much more sense to have a single die roll resolve the combat and be done with it. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes you beat the super powerful rock monster and sometimes you die to the monkey with a slingshot.
  • Your humor is appreciated and it breaks up the big walls of text.
  • You never explain when to use skill checks or what benefit they give you. You say "Roll 1d6 and add your stat" but never explain what value is "succeed" or "fail".

Honestly I really like the theme. With some adaptation, I would definitely use this as a minigame between Uncharted World missions.

Yeah, sadly I didn't have enough time to really flesh out everything I wanted to. The skill rolls are one example of that. You really only see how the skill rolling is done in mission, for instance in the sample play for the Information Recovery Mission Table: "Any crewmember that rolls less than 4 on Vitality uses 1 health." And another example from the ship damage table: "an Inventery roll of 3 will repair this damage."

Glad you enjoy it! I did get sleep, but that's also why I nearly missed the submission deadline :P

This will take the place of my description and RPG icon because I had 3 minutes to submit.

GARP Rescue Patrol (Galactic Alliance Rescue Patrol Rescue Patrol) is a game where you play the administrator of a GARP spacecraft. Send the crew on missions, inform their decisions, equip them with armor, and all replace them when they die!
