Interesting idea and nice aesthetic, though the combat is very token at this point. Enemies always doing the same amount of damage you do to them, combined with you always going first, makes every fight a guaranteed win with a sliver of health left, and your health is full in the next fight anyway. I would personally make it so enemies do less damage to you but it's permanent until healed with items/at save spots or through other means, so there is actually a chance of losing. Other than that, I was able to find a second enemy that gives me jump, and a save point, but not much else.
Nice demo. Reminds me somehow more on pokemon than metroidvania though. Did I miss the saving points or aren't there any in the demo so far?
Thanks for trying it out. Save points are the winged statues, and I'll add a tooltip at save points in a future build.
