I see. Well, once more well done. Thanks to the improvements you mention in your devlog it is a finished little game I would say.

Nice little game! Fully playable, I had no great difficulties to play. All in all a bit short but I guess the story can be enlarged still. I like the style. Which assets did you use? I didn't find the credits. But some of the sprites look very familiar. Or did you create everything youself?

Very impressiv visuals! The game works alright and i quickly emerged into this world of demons and devils and crime. Personally I would appreciate also mouse control in addition to the keyboard. I guess it is not possible to solve any case in this demo yet or was I just not good enough? However, good work, hope you can keep up the motivation and finish the game.

Thank you very much for playing thorugh the whole game!! Very much appreciated! Thank you also for your quality feedback! Btw, as for the cave in the mountains you didn't miss anything. (You get there when you miss the clouds and fall down. There is another cave/door which you can enter und then you appear in that one you saw.)

btw I really like the graphics! I assumed the assets were not made by yourself, or were they? What sources did you use? (I didn't find the credits)

It takes rather long to earn some money so you can afford more expensive things, at least that's the impression I got. The development of the export markets seems a bit random at that. And there isn't much more to do at the beginning.

The tutorial is pretty detailed now. After going through it, it was clear how to play.

A bit annoying was that the 9 th level was the first "real" level. So there are 8 level for the tutorial and just 4 real levels. That doesn't seem well balanced.

I don't know how to describe my strategy. I also look at the first steps/opponents for each hero and then i just go looking what is next and which hero can gain which item that is needed for any further steps. Also I usually asumed that the most complicated, longest way is the one to choose.

ok, so I played it again. Makes more sense now, don't know why i have been blind before. I managed to kill some 20 monsters now. But I got the feeling that there is still something missing to make the game real fun. Maybe the sort of monster could have an influence somehow. As for now the monsters seem to just have different images and that's it.

Very sophistcated game! I think the mechanics work well. Very cute graphic style, the UI works very well for me too. Maybe some faster progress would make the game more fun.

Thank you!

Pretty hard arcade but that's how a 90's like game should be. Very cool game! The level selector is intuitive and very good as it is now. As other people already mentioned in the previous game jam the keyboard controls are not ideal. I like the style of the game very much but I am not all happy with the charactors movements animations, why so colourful and simply green as the idle? However that's just me. Great work!

Very nice graphics! But I had a bit difficulties to understand the concept of the game. I managed to kill just five monsters in one go before I died. It should show the damage each casted spell did to the opponent. The torches are certainly a nice optical improvement. Maybe some more sophisticated animation when you defeat a monster would be nice.

Cool game, its keeping th player engaged. I would also like to back the idea behind the game!

I don't know the previous versions so it's hard to judge the improvment. Three levels seems more advanced than just one and I can't say anything about the lost humour. So far it is more like a prototype than a game yet. Cute pixel style smooth controls.  Once I got stuck in the dialog and could move anymore which should not happen.

Ahojte! Very nice game., very good title. I like local multiplayer arcade games. :-) Poor hamsters. Here are some ideas for further improvements: An energy bar for each hamster, different images for the two hamsters. A better sound effect when one wins. I think I would be also funny if the balls but also the hamsters could fall into the sockets of the billard table.

Cool game! I found it easier if you move around a lot. The leaderboard is defintely a cool function. Funny, that you call the easy mode "hard" ;-) . I see you have already list of things you still want to improve.  I think some of the points are not all easy to realize like the various backgrounds without doing harm to the game pixel grafic style but you should try anyway.

Very nice game! The colours are well chosen. Here are some things I think could maybe be still improved:

- Incentive: Maybe there could be another incentive than just to survive and get a highscore. Something that motivates the player and keep engaged: awards, stages, changing backgrounds, whatever

- The the bg music is a ted too aggresive for my personal taste.

explosions: Super Mario didn't have any before Super Mario Bros 2, Tetris, Pacman,  etc. . But I agree: a good games needs explosions! How could I have forgotten this in my own game!

Surely I will play your game and rate it and give some feedback.

Thank you very much for playing my game and the feedback!! (that you can't fall in stage 1 is on prupose ;-)  ).  Please give me some time but i wull certainly also test you game.

ok, thanks for the reply.

Sorry, "ski" - with a small s

Hi Mitnik3,

I understand that there is no rating in this jam, which is ok. I tried to give some feedback to the other entries anyway via comments on the rating page. But why does it still show "rate for Winter Showdown 2024" on my game page? Can you somehow officially/technically end this jam, please?

Congrats! You got the best ratings in this jam! Unfortunatly nobody but I rated your game so your Raw Score got reduced. Hope my feedback helpfull for you.

none. It simple stops loading, closes the started window and closes the process.

I am using Windows 10 Home on a Notebook, with i7-6700HQ, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M, resolution 1920x1080

The movement and the aiming at the same time caused me difficulties. But I am already an old person, I am not good at multitasking at games.

Seems like you made Game Boy Advanced game. Can you recommend any (online) emulator ot play it?

Very simple but nice arcade game! I don't see too many games made without a gameengine around here. Well done!

:-P

Very simple, but well done rogue game, the effects are nicely polished. I enjoyed playing.

Very cute game! The candy graphic are nice. I think it is a great idea to like to a feedback form as you did in the game. As for difficulty I think it is a bit too hard (at least for me).

Sorry, the game crashes while loading on my computer. I Could not play it. :-(

Very cute game! The tribute to bubble bobble is evident. Perhaps the music could be a bit more cheerful. I didn't get player 2 on the screen, how to do that?

I wanted to test your game (Looks cool!) but the windows version crashes while loading and the html5 version gets frozen with the first input. :-(

Sorry, I don't know either. Seems like, there is no rating. I will test the submissions and give some feedback anyway.

What a nice game athosphere! The visual affects of the water reflectings are great. I have to admit that I failed to escape the maze. Maybe some hints would be helpful?

Nice work!

Nice prototype (or did I miss it that those endings were already definite? I explored all possibilites).

Impressive visuals! This could become a nice interactive visual novel. A pity it doesn't have sound yet.

Little fun game! It was a bit disappoing that one apple is enough to win the game. The background music is a bit to stressy for my taste but that was probably the purpose of it. The munching sound is well done.

Sorry to ask, but why exactly did you submit it to this game jam? It was made a year ago and I don't see any relation with the topic of the jam.

however:

I love the graphic style, very nice! I also like that it has a two player mode. What was irritating was that jumping always cause some lagginess (at least on my computer). I also missed some background music. Also the levels and the whole game could be a bit more elaborate. But aside of that, all in all a nice game.

Nice arcade game. I was a bit confused about the qr-code at the bottom of the screen. Is that an ad? (in a gam-jam game?!?) However, the link was broken.

p.s.: I don't test or rate all the other games you submitted to this game jam, since i don't believe they were all made in the jam period. Also I noticed how you submitted your games to about a ton of other game jams which is already at the boarder of spaming.
