Very cool and spooky! The genre mashup of a metroidvania and horror is an awesome idea!  I think Unity 2D lights and shadows would look super amazing in this, check them out!  Keep it up and great work~

Glad you liked it! Yeah, I feel like metroidvania and horror actually works pretty well as a mashup. In fact, part of the reason I came up with the idea for this game is that Alien: Isolation, one of the inspirations for this game, had certain metroidvania aspects that I felt could be expanded further upon.

I did actually use Unity's 2D lights in this game, but I understand if you didn't notice since not a whole lot of things cast shadows in it. If you played on low quality, then shadows are completely disabled. I could probably have gone even further with the lighting.

Thanks for the encouragement and for playing my game :)

Awesome game ^^

Thanks for putting a story mode, I tried really hard to beat it on hard at first, furthest I got was to the space suit but honestly some times it just felt like chance if it would spawn straight at me haha. I also tried normal, It didn't seem much easier but it felt like I'd bump into the creature less often. I played story to see the whole game and find the messages, and yeah I'd have never survived that countdown at the end anyway haha :') Not sure if it was a bug or unfinished but It didn't let me in the pod at the end?

The abilities are great, though I never used the dash because my hands were always on the keyboard haha, aside from the checkpoints I never had any bugs, I was killed by the pop up messages a few times, cos they lingered over the creature saying a door needed a space suit while the creature came at me :')

The creature looks FANTASTIC btw, I love it so much, I also downloaded the game and the sound was 1000% better than the web version. I liked it a lot and I'd love to try this again once the checkpoints are fixed :)

So glad you liked it!

Weird that you weren't let into the pod at the end. The ending is finished and there is a credits scene after it, but it seems to have bugged for you. You didn't miss a lot though. I can't replicate the bug on my end unfortunately.

I'll see what I can do to make the pop up messages less obstructive and I'll for sure be fixing the checkpoints, and will have the new version up at the end of the voting period! Could send you a message if you want. I'll also be fleshing out the story a bit more.

Glad you like the look of the creature, I'm very happy with it myself too!

Yes please! I'd love to play it again but with fixed checkpoints, then I'll do it with the creature active, and ill get to see the ending for the first time :) haha, I bet I was just doing something dumb..

looks interessting, the browser version keybindings are a bit unfortunate - holding controll and moving in direction made me save the Homepage or swap the tab or close it overall xD

Very nice atmosphere!

Ahaha clearly I didn't test the web version enough.. Well it seems that using the arrow keys to walk works as a workaround though. Did you manage to play through it anyways?

Thanks for checking it out :)
