The concept is pretty cool! The execution exists more in potential than in actuality right now. Good luck. If you take this further I definitely recommend balancing the scrap and searching high and low for soft-lock situations. As it stands I'm not 100% sure how much can be done without cheating past the first room or two, but it was good that you let players know how to do that so we could experience the mechanics you intended to implement more fully.
