I love the art of the player, enemies, and the detailed backgrounds!  It was pretty fun, I did run into some bugs when colliding with anything while jumping, the player and audio would stutter for a moment sometimes.  It was never game breaking though, nice entry!

I very enjoyed playing your game! Awesome graphics :D I think fighting could use of little improvement. I'm amazed how many different attacks you added to the boss fight! Overall very good game!

Hi! Thanks for playing, that's great to hear - I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Refining the fighting is definitely on our radar for future updates and games. :-)

Very pretty game, maybe a bit inconsistent with style at times, but good looking nonetheless! I enjoyed it from start to finish, it had a nice vibe going on and I really liked boss fight at the end, even though it was kinda hard to hit it with sword. Great game

Thanks for playing through!! Glad you enjoyed it :-)

First off, excellent visuals. Nice sprites, well-animated player character, and gorgeous backgrounds! The sound is good, too. I enjoyed exploring and navigating this world.

Some suggestions for improvement:

I'd love to be able to attack with the left mouse button as an alternative.

The enemies should react a little bit when struck. This was especially an issue with the beefy mushroom dudes, who would just keep charging me even as I was striking them.

The controls are not bad, but they feel just a little bit stiff, especially the jumping/gliding. It's hard to describe exactly why.

Lastly, since the game takes place over a large area, a map would have been helpful.

Hi, thanks for playing & for your feedback!!

Getting fighting the enemies to feel better overall is definitely something we wanted to spend more time on. Improved enemy knockback and probably some visual indicators like a hurt animation or frame are things that we'll be looking to implement in later versions of this game and future games as well. Unfortunately, we didn't have as much time as we wanted to to be able to really sit down and refine player/enemy movement or add in other features to the game like a minimap. We learned a lot from this game jam and will be keeping all this in mind for our next game jam though. :-)

Yes, it's all about the learning process! These jams are a great opportunity to grow as a developer. :)

A really nice game! I enjoyed it from start to finish, the only thing that bothered me were the enemies at times, especially the giant mushroom guys. They were tough and hard hitting, I always just got past them by running away, so it wasn't that problematic all in all. I also liked the idea that upgrades, like the glider could be used in multiple ways, for getting higher and also breaking your fall. Overall, great job on the entry!

Hey, thanks for playing and leaving feedback. :-)

About the enemies - we're still working on getting them to a sweet spot where they can be tough but not too hard to fight off. We'll be nerfing Buffshroom later on, so hopefully that helps and players won't feel like they need to go around him.

Glad you enjoyed the game!
