Love the opening credits sequence and the gorgeous orchestral piece! I had a really tough time figuring out what to do with the game, though. The tiny light source at the beginning made it difficult to determine whether I was supposed to go up or down the ladder. I initially tried to go up the ladder, and found myself falling into an abyss. After restarting and trying to go down, I found it unclear what happened when I suddenly found myself in water. The water section is a neat idea, but could definitely use some iteration and more player guidance. I often found myself getting stuck in walls, or unsure what blocks were walls or just part of the background. Overall, I think if you spend time trying to give the player more nonverbal cues and guidance for where to go, it will help significantly. Keep working on it, and I am excited to see the finished product!

There's a lot of neat stuff in here!

-The timing puzzles for flipping the first switch were really neat and you definitely caught me unaware a few times and I got smashed to bit LOL

-The camera work snapping to show the door opening was really nice, it's neat that you have a cutscene system like that

-underwater movement controls feel great

-the environmental mood/vibe was really cohesive and was well-established

-Combat was REALLY tough, I tried to kill the big whale/shark? but got absolutely destroyed. A checkpoint would have been useful before that fight because I got demoralized after a few attempts. But I see what you're going for, and it's an engaging system

Great work and congrats on submitting!

Thank you very much Nateycakes. Your comments means a lot to me :-)
I will try and patch this game up properly , so that it has a cohesive scenario to start with in the next coming weeks hopefully.
I hope you stay tuned for updates!
Cheers.

There's potential here, but as you guys said, it's unfinished, and it's really visible tbh.

Gameplay is very very janky as of right now, but I can give it a discount. I kinda just stopped after killing the sushi tho, really had no clue how to deal with the soldier dudes. I guess I was supposed to be stealthy since backstabbing does the job quite nicely, but it's really inconsistent wheter the guys actually see you or not, and if they do there's really nothing you can do to save yourself, it's just kinda guaranteed death wich kinda sucks. I also had no clue how to reload my weapons btw, but it didn't really matter since I didn't felt like the long ranged stuff really did any help at all.

I think you guys are gonna need to overhaul this entire early game honestly, it just feels kinda awkward for now. The game doesn't ease you in into it's gameplay, it just kinda throws you there and you pray to know what you're supposed to do. The very first thing on the game being that water section with spikes was just not a good idea, It was really confusing and I took a while to really realize where I was supposed to go (and the lack of telegraph of where there are spikes and when they're gonna actually come didn't help), and right after getting throught that you're thrown in into a very tought platformer-stealth section, wich is a completely new style of gameplay with a huge lot of new mechanics to grasp all at once, wich was very disorienting.

Remember, you guys need to introduce every new thing one at a time, and on a safe enviroment at first, before actually mixing and matching everything on actual dangerous situations later.

The intro music was geat tho.

Thanks, I love your comment. It has a lot of very useful information and I will try my best to make the most of it.
The game is indeed very incomplete, this was super rushed. I wasn't even supposed to program it. I was just going to write the music lol, but at the end , I jumped in to help the other programmer in my group and added the whole thing with the AI, map hazards on top of the musical composition and a little bit of sound design.
It definitely needs lots of patching.  I hope you stay tuned so you see my updates. I really appreciate you playing it and giving feedback!
Cheers.

Cool. Seems like there's some great ideas here. I like the art style and environment shifts. The idea of going through a metroidvania as a secret agent could be fun. I'm sure you know what you want to work on, so keep working on it!

I appreciate the comment, Vandal's Aria <3, I will try my best to keep working on it and bring updates. I want to at least finish and polish one mission, possibly with some narrative. lets see.  The next update will probably be submitted to the 3-month metroid jam as well. But once the rating for this one ends, I should have some updates ready
Have a nice weekend!
