I like the spooky, mysterious lock and key 3D aspect. The pixel art was little low resolution for my taste and made it hard to want to play for very long. I didn't get far because I kind of always felt I was in a blur and it was to remember where I was.
3.25/5
Hey, im not shure i completed the Game but i liked the atmoshphere and idea. The Pixel look was a problem for me because i cant play for so long.
Hi, at first, thank you for your comment. we were trying to do graphics like in PS1 games, but maybe it is too pixelated. Can you tell me where you finished the game?
I died and the eye was open and i think i was everywhere. so i dont know. You have a play through video?
I was wondering why so many people were doing eyes for this jam until you dropped the Nietzsche reference. Fantastic atmosphere!
Hi, thanks for your comment! We have focused most on atmosphere, and Nietzsche was pretty perfect for that. Can you tell me what you disliked most in the game?
Okay so this was neat! There was not a whole lot gameplay-wise - mostly just walking around dark rooms and opening doors - but I have to admin I am curious on how you made this 3d pixel art game. It is very interesting!
Hi, thank you for your comment! It was pretty hard to us to merge metroidvania with creepy dark horror game, so gameplay lost a little because of that. About pixel art, That was just low poly models with textures, and used some effect from canvas. There is tutorial Video on YT that describes it.
I have to say, reading the instructions on the walls was straining for my eyes. Maybe there is a better solution. In general, it hurt my eyes. Sorry.
I know what you were going for. I just wonder whether there is a different way to achieve that.
About the actual game: I am not 100% sure I fully understood what I had to do. But I ventured quite a bit until at one point I opened a cabinet with one of those eye thingies in it and then my candle went out and I lost.
Would be cool, if you could upload a playthrough video. I'd like to know how it ends. But I am too much of a scaredy-cat to try again :D
What I am trying to say is, you nailed the atmostphere.
