Congratulation for the graphics and animation. The game itself deserve a non jam version with more contents.
Quite a fun game. Reloading the blow gives you to think about what to attack and how often.
That was way tighter and fun than you sold it as! Great ideas and execution - I really liked the shot pacing mechanic.

I'm underselling it because I myself am not satisfied with the execution of it, even if I believe on the ideas as well, but I know it technically isn't as bad as I feel it to be and am glad you still like it anyway :3

Note that in order to play, I have to switch my keyboard to US-English mode ; on the French keyboard (AZERTY), the key Z is at the same location as W on a QWERTY keyboard. Thus pressing Z acts both as UP and SHOOT.
Solutions: change key to X or use keyboard.ARROW_UP instead of keyboard.UP

I had no idea that if you didn't specify you mean the up arrow microstudio would've consider W altogheter, so sorry for that one :3

Yeah, it isn't that far off indeed. Maybe if I focused more on making it workable first and prettier later I would've gottem it on time, but well those are past waters already anyway x)

Eh, not for my own standards I have for myself.
Definitelly wish I had a failstate, that's the one essential thing I think it's missing to actually be considered a game, and even then I also wanted it to be more polished with screenshakes and such, but my attempt at doing those didn't worked so I scrapped it at the last moment. Sounds and a title screen also makes a big difference when you don't have them at all lol.
I'm happy I could do at least something before the deadline tho, but I'm definitelly not satisfied with the state the game is right now yet
I guess that we have different standards and perspectives, but for a game jam that lasted only 9 days, I think it's safe to say this is a good game.
With my game, I couldn't really add polish, good sounds, or screen shake, but it is a good game for a 9 day game jam. Same With yours.

The thing is that I know I could have pulled this off in 9 days if I was using Construct wich is my usual engine of choice, but since I'm new to microstudio having to learn how everything works kinda got on my way lol.
My problem isn't that I didn't had time to add everything I wanted to add, because that already happened on the last jam I participated, my problem is that, unlike said last jam, I'm not satisfied with what I did do on time.
Althought that's indeed something more personal, other people can still say it's good enought even if I don't think so, and that's ok :3
