Simple game but really enjoyable! The voiceover is amazing!!!
Nice work!
I like the idea and the voiceover is great.
The water texture is good but it gets hard to look at when you go fast. Maybe you could smooth the colors a bit if you go faster.
Some collectables or the traveled distance would be nice to have as another way of scoring points instead of only having the platforms.
Good job, thanks for making it.
Good point about the water texture. It does seem to be almost animated doesn't it. I'll look into your suggestion. Thanks.
Here something that you can improve:
- For the boat try using Interpolation so you avoid the stuttering(?) of the boat
- Create a menu or some UI
- Reset the score once you lose
- Reduce the time you gain for each platform you touch (it become endless.
- Tutorial (i push every single key to understand what to do)
I really like the voiceover
The boat definitely should be moving smoothly. Did you download or play in browser? What are your system specs?
The game is meant to be endless, though I might start reducing the frequency of the ramps to slope up the difficulty. The controls are less intuitive than I thought, so I'll see what I can do about that. As for the score not resetting... that was an oopsy.
Thanks for your feedback. It is very much appreciated.
I played in browser, my specs are ryzen 5 3600x, gtx 1660 ti...
Would you mind trying the downloaded version if you're on windows, just to see if it's the browser version causing that stuttering?
stuttering is just a thing with Godot and other game engines (I think it should be fixed with Godot 4 but I’m not sure) there is definitely a way to fix this in earlier versions but idk what it is
I hope you were able to figure it out. I always thought that was the fun of such games.
