I used Godot as my game engine, libresprite as my image editor, and lmms and audacity for audio. Most sound effects from lmms came from Nescaline.

Both your character and the cactus you fight are stationary for most of the game.

The art is good but the rate at which the sides change are unpredictable and when you wait for them to change you lose your insult. Maybe make it so that it follows a pattern or there's some type of visual or audible queue when it's about to change
I love the idea and the story! Unfortunately, the game is too hard. I couldn't get past 5 words even once. There needs to be a warning or something when the weak side is about to change.

I think I know what the problem with the difficulty is. The window that you are allowed to attack in is actually as long as the animation on one side is playing, not just when it is completely white. I definitely should've chosen a better animation to communicate this fact.
Yeah, I messed up the upload so the game is unplayable. Whoops.
