I basically made the floor hazardous and you use platforms to traverse the level.

nice game with nice concept.
Nice platforming game with an old school feel to it. Feels cathartic to burn spider eggs.
the mechanics and work are so polished, wow. the pixel art is fantastic and the movement is smooth. using the flamethrower is JUICY. only thing i really want is more content and difficulty, but that’s game jams after all. also this doesn’t really use the limitation IMO. but whew that was impressive, great job and thanks for sharing it with us.

Regarding the limitation, I had to pivot during development to a normal platformer. Initially I was going to have movement basically linked to a grappling hook, but I couldn't get it to work so I went with the "floor is lava" interpretation. Essentially, there is ground, but... you'll die if you walk on it.
A very cool concept and pixel art, I especially liked that it was necessary to guess the enemy's attack, because the main character's attack occurs with a delay
The game is visually stunning and has great animation. Gameplay wise it is rather ordinary , but still a very nice experience and plays very well. The level design is nice and the sound also goes nicely with the game. Overall its a very nice and well made game!
Pixel art is good, liked a lot. Effects realy good.

Only sad is its that short, realy enjoy the game, not that hard.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm sad that it's short as well. I had planned for a boss fight and some cutscenes, but I had to cut them out because I ran out of time. xD I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was hoping the difficulty wasn't too hard.
