Use of the limitation
Every time you choose an action to take, you lose an hour. You have 5 hours to get home. I also started out with the intention of "passing time" being a main theme of the writing, but I admittedly lost track of that pretty quickly lol.
Cookies eaten
Zero, unfortunately. Now I've got a hankering for Girl Scout Cookies, though

I liked the surreal images. Was that AI art?
Thanks! Yeah, it's mostly AI art. The title screen and beginning images (the first scene, the train tracks, and the park) are from https://alte.itch.io/suburban-photos , those seem to be actual photos that are just put through a filter. Every other image was AI generated using craiyon. I tried to deliberately choose wonky looking stuff, both for the atmosphere and so that it was more clear that it was AI art.
Thank you very much for playing and leaving such nice feedback
Great game. I like that the story fits the limitation and the visuals were well chosen.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the visuals, choosing them was one of my favorite parts of making this
Good stuff. I like the sound effects and the spooky feel this game has. I encountered a small bug where after one of the scene transitions, the whole screen became black, I thought a jumpscare is about to pop up =D. But no big deal I just restarted the game and managed to get the two endings. Very cool game. Well done!
Oh, that's a bummer! I'll have to figure out what's up and fix that after the voting period is over, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Probably a variable gone haywire in one of the scenes. That would definitely seem like the lead-up to a jumpscare lol. I'm glad you were able to restart and get the full experience! I appreciate you taking the time to do that.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
I liked this game! The writing was great, and I really liked the way the story was presented! Every image fit very well with the dialogue. As you stated in the questionnaire, you kinda lost track of the passing time mechanic, but even without the integration of the limitation it's still a very good story and game! Good job :D
Thanks so much for leaving such nice feedback! I really appreciate it
