This is really cool for a first game, the controls and the art style are great! And i love how you read the story as you progress through the level. I think adding some feedback when you get hit by a spike, to really make it feel like you got hurt, would have made it even better.

Well done, keep it up!

Thank you!!!!

I can't believe this was your first jam, and you don't have more comments yet! You did a really great job on this! I finished the game. I really had fun playing. The controls were good, and I look forward to seeing more from you. The platforming was fun and challenging and being able to attack the bad guys was great as well. The only suggestion I would have would be to make the attack range maybe a little farther that way I don't have to wait for the enemies to get right next to me.

Oh and something else I enjoyed was the story! I think it was really cool how you incorporated the story into the game by putting it at the top of the levels. That was a really clever way to include it. It's great to see you using Godot as well

Thank you so much for your comment. a lot of things had to be cut out of the game due to lack of time. also some things should have looked different, but due to lack of experience i was not able to implement them. maybe in the future i will finish this project to the end!

I totally get that. I'm new to Godot as well and a beginner when comes to programming in general. It's a great feeling to have made something playable even if it lacks features you want to add. Hey, that's what the next game jam is for right?

You're right!

I have too many favorites: Art, Animation, Platforming, and Story
This was a fun game to play. Great job!

Hey, did you get a chance to rate it? I noticed this game had fewer ratings than people who played it.

Developer

thank you!!

Had fun with this, only having sound effects for death and jumping was strange though, I assume that was out of time constraint?

Yes, it is.

I tried to run the game and it gave me this error :(

Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing?
If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension).

Developer

Try again please

Ok I just played and for a first game jam the game is pretty cool, I thought the story was cool while passing the level, and it ends with a "to be continue" are you going to continue the game? I will be following :)

What I think can be improved is the attack animation and better feedback for damage (I didn't even know I was dying for the spikes XD) other than that, it's cool, congrats on the game :D
