awesome game, i loved the visuals but the butterflies kinda broke the immersion.
Thank you :) The butterflies were angels, by the way. They could have meshed better with the art, but they're such good sprites it was hard to part with them lol.
The audio-investigation angle is pretty cool, I like the idea of listening to audio clues and applying them to the investigation. In practice, I found that the interrogations all seemed very straightforward. I never needed to stop or rewind the tape in order to jot down the relevant info and was expecting some kind of contradictions to call out. Ultimately I ended up getting the good ending without much challenge.
Very interesting stuff. From the two hands transition and the look to the front view switch at the table I got a feeling that there might be some jump scares so I was on the edge the whole time. I managed to get the good ending first try =D
The rewind mechanic is well made and it fits the theme of this jam very well, but I feel like the stop button made it a bit redundant since I just had to stop after hearing a name or time and type that down then resume. The whole tape recorder stuff is neat though and just listening and typing relevant info is fun. The voice acting is also very nice. The audio felt a bit low and I was afraid if I raise it I would get spooked by something. Very well made entry overall. I really enjoyed this game. Keep up the good work!

Thats a good point with the usage of the stop button, the original idea was having the tapes contain information that was difficult to use so you were forced to use the rewind but fitting more gameplay mechanics in the limited timeframe wouldve been impossible. We are however very inspired by this idea and want to expand on it so check back sometime whenever we do :))
this is one of the best games on this jam. Beautiful art, nice transitions between levels, a good plot and a beautiful main menu.
